I'M GLAD THAT MADE YOU HAPPY JIMBO, BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I CARE WHAT YOU THINK.

My , My Marcus why the anger??
You must have some hidden animosity towards me, I just don't have a grasp of it, that's a shame ;-)

Cue Engraving

FastnLoose and fellow Readers,

For two days I have been attempting to attach and post a photo of a beautifully engraved Balabushka, however due to my limited computer skills on this board I have been unsuccessfull.
The cue was very tastefully engraved with the owner's name on the retangular mother-of-pearl name plate by the late George Balabushka (same type and location of the M-O-P inlay as FastnLoose's Tascarella cue). This type of personal engraving was very popular in the late 60's and 70's.
If someone can tell me how to post the photo or if you send me your Email address I will happy to forward the photo.
Best Regards,
Hal

HAL2. i have a windows program that works awesome.. affectivley you right click on the pic and select resize and then what size you want it to be and it does it for you.. works great with lots of pics too..

here is the link to the program... its by microsoft and its free..
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/install/2/wxp/en-us/imageresizerpowertoysetup.exe

and if you want to read up on it first.. here is a link to the website..
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/expert/bott_03may19.mspx

I copy and paste this from the original thread that i posted it in..
it works great.. if you resize down to the 800x600 or so, you will get your image down to under 100k that way you can attach them to your message on the forum..

if you have any questions about it..please let me know.. i will try to help..

I'm not questioning the cues originality, but I highly doubt George did the engraving on that cue and I doubt (Unless he has training I don't know about) that Pete will engrave on MOP. MOP is tough to engrave on because of chipping. I'm sure it can be outsourced as I'm pretty sure George did, I'm also sure someone can set up their CNC to do the work, but I doubt George's CNC machine had those advanced tecniques.

It could be done in the butt cap. Keith McCready's name is engraved in the butt cap of his new playing cue just built for him. It was done after discussing cues he has owned in the past.

That's a great cue jack, but I'm guessing from seeing the pics your shop is a bit more advanced then George's was :-D And the word I got from my expert was that MOP chips easy and you need to take a few special steps when doing this type of work.
