Well today Earl and I go to Tuscon and John heads back home. John had a hard time getting his ride to the airport out of bed and was behind. He was assured that they had plenty of time, however while on the road his driver realized that they didn't have as much time as he thought and layed if foot down a little too much. This led to a $300 speeding ticket
it also led to John missing his flight out of El Paso back home. John called me later and told me he was fine and was able to reschedule his flight so all ok there.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, Earl and I head out on the road to Tuscon. The road was filled will so many road stories from Earl that I really need to start recording this stuff. I also heard about all the worst jobs he has ever had from sweeping the local stores floor in the morning for a quarter that was quickly spent on a cheeseburger and a milkshake (Yeah hes that old
to picking water melons and cucumbers. Interesting really its hard to figure how you go from the veggie picker to pool Legend.
I think one of the funniest parts that AGAIN I wish I had on tape was Earl singing along to Lady Ga ga. The song bad Romance in case you have not heard it has a line in it that goes something like "La LA rumba ba ga ga oh la la" Earl sang along with it for a while and then asked me "IS she a muslim? that sounds like muslim she was singing just then"
Well we got to Tuscon and I dropped Earl off at Ricks mini mansion. He moved about a year ago to a real sweet place just noth of Tuscon. We visited a short while and Rick showed us around and it was time for me to leave. Earl will be up in Phoenix at the BCA Regional event on the 3rd and
4th doing some lessons and exhibition work so stop by and see him.
Well I am home now and just relaxing for tonight and then I will be back on the wheel at this end for a while until we get out again. I have already had some emails and calls from Texas so I think thats gonna be the next tour. I just have to look at the tourney schedule as there are a number of things going on between now and Xmas.
I hope you have enjoyed my little rants and babling from this last trip and I think there may be one more after Phoenix. I have enjoyed writing down the memories although some are a little boring and others a little funny I was how it was.
