Is our game more apt to have conflict than other sports or is it just me?
I've been at the top of collegiate and olympic sports in my youth, with good coaching.
Played in the pros for yrs, invited to 3 WPA world events/played in two.

As my game kept getting better/better early 90's, had to quit for a good 20 yrs following that period.
Now.... and for the last time I figured I'd Enjoy playing our local league again, opponents complained 8 yrs ago, so I stopped.
Now I figure I might enjoy it, different players since then.
NOT.... I've seen behavior quite often that's outta line and I no longer enjoy those ''quirks'' around players/drinking and showing off.
I even had a best friend bring his good friend down to watch our team play.
Well two guys, not even in the game started harassing this 70 yr old black man they Knew nothing about.
One of em was faking a rifle shot to his head twice, wish I knew that was happening we have ALLOT of prejudice in Fremont County CO.

I'm on two teams a week. One a two person league with16 teams and the other a 3 person team with 16 teams. While there is rivalry and competitiveness, both teams are very well managed, and everyone for the most part gets along and are supportive of each other. I do not play on teams where you play based on your handicap or if you improve you may be kicked out of the team for getting better at pool, that's just stupid and a recipe for sandbagging. Why anyone would want to play on a team where the only thing they care about you is where you fall in with the handicap system is beyond me. Also, I would never play on a league where players taunt or make fun of each other.

……..move to Lincoln, Nebraska and play in our Wednesday Hi Roller league……nobody will complain.

Rob...
How many teams are there?
When it's fun it's definitely that.
I think because our county has soooooooooooooo many jails along with Super Max prison, the inmate interaction takes it's toll on all, men and women, gals do the office work.

First I invite you to take a vacation and come to Houston, the league play is respectful and the competition is good, theres also enough Action before and after league to keep you entertained and enjoyed.

To your question, yes our sport is more apt to stupidity. Its a mixture of drugs, alcohol and ego, along with the fact that our sport is mainly played after hours, late after hours when most other are at home, we're just getting started.

Went thru there in 91.... Jan. and after, traffic Now is Incredible, much rather take the old state hwys any day over the Interstates when they get close to Dallas/etc.
