But yea, I got hustled lol... I walked in to my local pool room for the first time in about 3 months, (got a table at home to play on.) and I play just for fun with a few people, there was a guy playing on the table next to mine watching me play, I guess he was impressed with what he was seeing so he started talking to me about my game, he started telling me how he used to roll with all these big names in pool and of course like everyone else in my town, I thought he was just talking yiddy yadda... I played him yesterday and broke even, today a totally different person erupted and he straight wrecked my a**. He told me that telling the truth is powerful. So yea TECHNICALLY I didn't get hustled because he did in fact tell me how he played, But I did hustle myself if that makes sense.

He told me somebody called him out at a bar and asked him if he played, he said yes, then asked if he was any good, he said yes, then he robbed him even though he told the guy he plays really good, He told me the guy didn't believe him and played him anyways... EXACTLY what I did (exsept the calling him out part). I learned my lesson, I rarely even gamble in the first place, it just wasn't my night lol He actually was a great stand up guy also, that made me get over the loss quickly, he gave me a bunch of advice and we ended up exchanging numbers at the end of the night. Very nice guy.

Doesn't sound all that bad...sounds like you might have learned something and possibly made a friend too.

Yea, I kind of feel like I met somebody that could help me out with my game in the future, essp. with my consistency problem. It's more like I paid for a pool lessons than just straight up lost and gained nothing you know?

i know a local player that asked me he got a game and he's going to rob the guy. i look over and he's playing max eberle.

people are funny. danny d said he used to walk into rooms and declare himself the best player in town

I hear ya there. My good friend is a guy who sometimes got "paid" for pool lessons. I got to play with him for free though from the time I started playing. Lo and behold, he dragged me up to his level. Whenever you get to play with these kind of cats, do it, because it will definitely bring your game up.
