Measuring hardness is important but another important quality to quantify is the resiliancy of the leather. ( how fast it compresses when you contact the cue ball )

Just food for thought

Out of curiousity, why you do that? After you sanded the glue side?

cencen

Superglue (aka CA or cyanoacrylate) is a water-cured glue . So, after the tip is sanded, it's a good idea to let it hang out and get some natural absorbing of the ambient humidity.

I blow on them. I figure that must be enough, since CA doesn't need much moisture to cure it.

Fred <~~~ but kisses them for good luck
