got ???-what is the aloted time for a player to take a shoot?? have a slow player that i need to speed up .want to do it in correct way.also ruling on rolling qb with end of your q?? foul or not??? thanks stick:confused:

Foul if the actual tip touches the cue ball. Not sure on time, but 20-30 sec. seems like plenty IMO

Set up rules first. Shot clock as stated above should be in the rules along with the specified time. I have been to Vegas the last 12 or so years to watch the pros play, and they will put you on the clock for slow play. I believe it is 30 seconds with one thirty second extension per match.
I have seen several pros put on the clock when they were just brutally slow. Guy goes down to the table with a stop watch and sits there until the match is over. I'd hate to be the guy with the stop watch as I would have to watch that thing VS watching the match.:frown:

As the tournament director, you can set whatever time limit you want. 30 seconds is plenty. Here are the rules of nine ball.

As long as the player doesn't move the cue ball by hitting it with the tip and a forward motion, it is not a shot. Here is the specific rule.

I have seen tournament directors in the past call a shot clock on slow players and after that..they had 30 secs. to shoot or it was a foul. Hope this helps.
