Texas open

Terry,
As always thanks so much for the updates.

Just curious, if you were watching, where did he put the 1 (it looks like the 5 is in the way for the corner. Lastly, where did he put the 2?

Looks like he could get a really small window to play it in the upper left corner.

Thanks.

Hope you can tell what he did by this lol

The big bar table tourney here in Indy.

That's brutal shooting 2900 or 2500 at 5k.
Wonder what they each thought their chances were.

Didn't a recent tournament earlier this year, it was Alex and Sky 1-2 too?

Sky has a handicap-He is unable to "conceptualize" the correct shot so very lucky to get 2nd!

I watched just the final 5 streamed matches today. -- 60 games.

Successful breaks -- 52% (31 of 60)

Breaker won game -- 38% (23 of 60)

B&R games on all breaks -- 7% (4 of 60)

B&R games on successful breaks -- 13% (4 of 31)

[Tough going!]

WOW.....

I knew the players were having trouble with the break, but these stats are brutal for top players. :yikes:

Table was a bit tight....and it looked to me that it was wet....
...wet doesn’t break well.
Will check with the Lion when he checks in.

18 of those 60 breaks in my stats were by Alex -- his matches against Alshaheen, Woodward (hotseat), and Woodward (Finals). He was successful on 10 of the 18 breaks, won 7 of those 18 games, and had no B&R's.

[In the final match, the breaker won just 2 of the 13 games (none of the last 7)!]

I am curious about a few things concerning these type tournaments:
is this tourney similar in size and numbers to the music city open with similar prize money and calcuttas? And would these be considered average sized tournaments?

It is a shame a national tour couldn't be maintained utilizing these smaller tournaments with the larger tournaments serving as "majors" , "or grand slams", like in tennis and golf. Seems like Alex and Sky have carved out a pretty nice chunk of change for themselves over the last 2 months. Too bad they had to finish basically top 3 in order to get that chunk.
