Hey Joe!

You know about Pete Fusco's new room and Tacony got sold to new owners and Mike Fusco's old room in NJ got sold again a few years back, right?

Barbara~~~a load of information... ;)

Joe, you HAVE to put Rusty's billiards in Arlington back on the list. It's open 24 hrs, and they have a smoking & non-smoking side. I'm not sure if they have any weekly or monthly tourney's. (they used to but I heard they're not having it anymore). Full sevice bar, free soda's to designated drivers, drink specials, fresh sandwhiches with deli meat, and numerous other finger foods that can be put in the air fryer.... Anyone on here that frequents Rusty's please speak up if I'm wrong on any of this (been a lil while since I've been there). It's hard to imagine a list of pool rooms in Arlington that doesn't have Rusty's on it. BELIEVE me, I would put Rusty's on there before I would Fast Freddies...LOL, as a matter of fact I did... Fast Freddies wasn't on the list I submitted. ;)

Sorry Timberly
I'm a little disorganized at the moment, I have paper lists, excel, word lists, websites. If I was good with this computer I would be hell on wheels. But that's why I'm asking you guys to keep me on my toes.
Thanks it'll be there for sure!

Have any of you Texans seen CJ Wiley, owner of CJ's? He was such a great player and had quite a legacy as a road warrior. Does he still play/practice/gamble much, or is his time devoted to his business?

I haven't seen CJ since I lived in TX which was back in '97. At that point I don't think he was playing too much. He now has two clubs in Dallas and I would think that takes up a lot of his time. Seems that if he were still playing, we would've heard something from someone by now. I think his attempt at trying to start a tour was the begining of the end for him playing pool. If I ever get back to the DFW area I'm certainly going to track him down because I too have been quite curious as to whether he even picks up a stick anymore.

Hey Joe, the Cornbread's on Westheimer closed...the manager/ part-owner quit and opened up Classics Billiards where the old 24 hour Slick Willie's used to be on 6467 Westheimer - top notch place with four 9 foot Diamonds and i don't know how many 8 foot Diamonds. Every table has a personal flat screen tv. If you like to carry your computer around with you it is also a hotspot for internet. Moderate action.

Although CJ has invested alot of his time and money into a Sportsbar/restaurant/nightclub in North Dallas called Carson's Palace, he is still very much active in his poolroom. Although it is rare, you can still stop in and catch CJ playing every once in a while.
For a couple of years, he had his old friend & pro Roger Griffis working there and that was a treat to see them two hitting balls. But, now Roger has moved and, to be honest there isn't a whole lot of anything going on at CJ's poolroom.

Karate-
Thanks for the update. Shouldn't be too hard to find him if I ever get back that way then.
