Thank You Blackjack!

I ran a 73 this evening - miscued on a semi-difficult shot, cuz I overheard somoene saying I was above 70. Damn brain!

Well, the run actually ended at 70, cuz I screwed up position on the last breakball. The cut angle to the corner pocket was about 110 degrees so I opted for a two-rail shot to the lower corner pocket with the cueball going two rails into the rack and somehow made it...but I wouldn't bet on anyone making that shot, and I would surely never call it if there's anything at stake. I'll try to diagram the shot.

Anyway, I have to thank BlackJack, cuz his analysis of my 50 last year really helped my game - even if it took a while to have a countable impact. Guess I'm a bit slow, when it comes to understanding good advice and incorporating it into my game. There were several points in the run, where I took the time to look at the balls and angles to decide, how to continue. Ten years back, I probably screwed up on a couple of opportunities to run big numbers (for me, that's 50+), cuz I just went on shooting the first shot that came to mind.

That's one helluva a shot. It's hard to keep focused after a hail mary like that, huh? How many times have you seen guys make a miracle shot and then dog a hanger? I know I've done it plenty of times.

Your right...David is a huge asset to this board! Some day I'm gonna beg him to analyse one on my runs. All I have to do is get something on tape that I would want him to see. LOL

Wow,

Helluva break shot, many variables. That is a very good run IMO. I would love to have that as my high run (and will someday).

Congratulations Kris!

You should thank yourself, not me. All I did was point out some things for you to work, and it was up to you to absorb and apply that knowledge.

As I said in that evaluation, I knew that if you worked on those areas of your game, you would be able to run A LOT more than 50 balls - and I was right. LOL

Best of luck - keep shooting for that 100!

But that is very well worth a "thank You". I know a lot of people, who couldn't see those things or didn't care to tell me. My next goal is to work on my fundamentals - it's strange how one can run more than 50 balls without being able to pocket a ball without any sidespin;)

Thanx and I sure will - it's one of my lifetime goals to get into triple digits again...at least once...
