i went to my billiard club today in g.r. and saw the walls lined with some new and really nice player posters and when i asked about them was told they came from you. along with a very nice package of info on the game and tournaments. you even offered to give us guidance if we wanted to have tournaments. that's a pretty nice thing to do. thanks for helping promote the sport. our club has been around for forty years now. it was started by a group of dutch immigrants that wanted to get together at least once a week to play without harold worst. who also lived here and was just too good. we used to just play caroms, but about ten years ago we got some of the members playing 3-rail. now we have our own night just for it.

Glad to help. Maybe I'll come by and play some time if I'm in Western Michigan.

But since you play straight rail, do you think there might be some interest in having a National Championship?

Bob,

I would love to help organize a straight-rail national championship with you.
There are some carom players at Carom Cafe that like to play straight rail.

I played Khalil Diab from Egypt, about 20 years ago, some straight rail. He gave me a 400 start to 500 points. He ran 420 / I ran 61 / he ran out. It was a GREAT game!
