Thanks boradriver and sjm!

Man what a great week out on the east coast. It was looking kind of glum a week before when it was announced that Comet Billiards was closing a day before I was to be there. However sjm and boradriver completely came to the rescue! lol

I really have to thank sjm for talking me in to heading out to Uncasville as well as boradriver for being an exceptionally generous host and hooking up the last minute accomodations. There are some great stories I would like to share right now regarding boradriver's great generosity at the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, but this post would get way too long. All I can say is that the favors won't go unreturned.

Sitting between boradriver and sjm watching pool is an educational experience. sjm especially has a much keener peception of what is going on than most do and he is one of the smartest people you can watch a pool tournament with. Boradriver likes to bet on how fast a spectator can finish their drink. (I lost)

Got a chance to say hi to AZ'er Kristi Carter. I think we've run into each other in three different time zones in the last year or so.

I didn't get a chance to say hi to the Grey Goose and tonic woman. Maybe another time! (You know who you are!)

Finished the pool portion of the week Thursday afternoon at Amsterdam Billiards playing a few sets of nine ball with sjm who whipped me pretty bad in the first two and then fell down to my level in the third and let me squeak one out. The funny thing is I offered him a ride home and ended up dropping him off in front of the old Ed Sullivan theater. Maybe he had an appearance with Dave Letterman? Who knows? lol

Again thanks for a great week sjm and boradriver and barring any natural disasters, I'll see you both and the rest of the AZ gang at DCC. :grin:

Now you tell me you are hanging out with Ed Sullivan's nephew and the rich and famous of Connecticut too. Geeze, it must be nice hanging out with the celebrities. :grin:

Tal it was great to see you and SJM at Mohegan and spend some time catching up.SJM's love for the game is infectious when sitting ringside at an event like this with him. He is a try aset to both the mens and womens players.
As far as the drink bet it was a total gaf bet if you had paid any attention to that guy you would have known the over under was 1 minutes 45 seconds. I was totaly stealing from you and should have raised the bet.
Anytime your coming to or near CT just let me know I 'm always looking for a reason to go to the casino. By the way I went back to Mohegan this past saturday and my buddy got a nice gapper also.
