I didn't know exactly where to put this, but I had to say something.

I just wanted everyone to know (if you don't already) what a Class Act Chris Byrne is. He sent me a very nice PM in regards to a post I had made about problems with veneered points. He gave me his phone number and said to feel free to PM or call him. Well, I finally did. We just finished a great conversation about the veneers and it wondered into other areas as well. I feel this was "above and beyond", especially since I pulled him out of the pool hall with my call :o

Thanks Chris! It's people like you that make this a GREAT forum!

I've heard he does it with other people as well. Byrne is a class guy in my book and makes some of the best cues around!

I met Chris at SBE this year and he was/is a great guy to talk with. Not surprised at all about his level of help to you.

No question, Chris is a class act, known him for years, same speed, same attitude at all times. Good guy.

He's done the same for me in the past. It's one of the reasons, I don't have a problem helping somebody out if they take the time to call.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments. I try to help people when asked (and sometimes when not asked) because when I was learning no one would even talk to me for the first 6-7 years I was trying to learn. That was pre internet times (at least for me) and if you remember, it was much harder to locate info back then. It was not untill I got a job (working for free) with Dan and met Blud that I finally got my act together and could make a cue I was proud of. The info I got from them made a world of diffrence.
Chris.

Chris is a great asset for all of us "non-cue builder" types here in Colorado. In addition to his cue building skills, he does a great job on repairs and phenomenal tip work. Last week I popped in on him, and he stopped working on cues to talk and replace a couple of tips on some old shafts I brought in.

I also recommend Chris for building high quality shafts. The cues that I had Chris made extra shafts for, play better with his shaft than the original.
