This is an eye opener and pretty much says it all.
Thanks CJ

The cue ball is always the target and in every case we have to hit the cue ball precisely where we're aiming. We're really not "aiming" at the object ball, we align to it in such a way that, when we hit the cue ball where we intend, the object ball (as a result) goes where we desire (in the final target which is the pocket or area of the table for a safety).

I agree.

Thanks CJ!

The least you do is give us some things to think about.

That is, if.... one actually wants to think about anything.

Again...Thanks,

Rick

Sad that you didn't get it the hundreds of times instructors have said it on here over the years. But, good that you finally do understand. ;)

That's right! Thanks, John and CJ.

I have no idea why you're trolling this thread. That's what's SAD!

I'm pretty sure Neil's efforts are wasted here, but I think he's right. It is sad that people won't hear things until somebody famous says them (preferably with cute internet meme pictures). Even sadder is the nonsense people will believe if a celebrity says it.

I guess you think Neil needs your help. Opinion noted.

It must be stated that anyone's style of play is their style of play and therefore can not speak for all pool players and what style of play they prefer. There is no "we" as alot of people on here like to use to imply they are correct since "we" all do it. Nonsense.

Everyone that is stating what works for them is doing so based on their on experiences at the table and in life. They can not speak for all, but sure like to try, but really are only stroking their own inflated ego.

See I do not align to anything, I just get in whatever shooting position is comfortable for my stroke. I have no preconceived notion about how to shoot based in what some think is the correct way.

The ball layout on the table controls everything.

Play some 14.1......you just might understand the above statement.

If you don't align to anything, how do you know which way to point your cue??

I'm not trolling anything, I told him I was glad he finally understood it. Why are you again trolling me is the question.

Well, you've probably been successful in smashing another CJ thread...your favorite poster. And he hasn't even posted in it yet. You could've at least waited to stick your fingers in the cage till he did. free-random-smileys-391.giffree-innocent-smileys-314.gif

Please stop your trolling and making up nonsense. Your agenda is very clear. What I said has nothing to do with CJ.

Explain why, in a CJ appreciation thread, you phrase this sentence, altar boy? Because CJ said it. Another dig at CJ.

NEIL+CJ THREAD=Innocent comment. Doesn't add up.

Thanks, CJ. Although you're not an instructor, I appreciate the time you take to contribute to these forums and expand the knowledge base...See how easy that was? You try it. It'll make you feel better about yourself.

I don't need to explain anything to you. Although I already clearly stated what I said. I'm sick of your trolling and reporting me all the time, so consider yourself reported.
You have some serious issues when you start seeing an innocent congratulatory comment as a smack at CJ. Everything I say on here you accuse of smacking CJ. You are so biased that you can't even read what is actually written anymore.

This is the thinking, not of a person that is just horrible at pool, but someone with psychological issues.

I'm no therapist so I can't even begin to diagnose what has led you to such submissive tendencies. I hope you get the help you so desperately need.

Never reported you or anybody else. Never will. There must be other readers reporting your innocent, passive aggressive posts. You implied CJ's comments were trivial and tried to ruin the thread. SOP for you. It ruined the thread for me and I'm sure, others.

Another Aiming Forum thread ruined. Imagine that! :(

Best,
Mike

I will say this, even if you two gentlemen had the best knowledge I'd rather jab daggers in my eyes than hang out with either of you. Now CJ on the other hand is a cool guy who's always fun to be around and has interesting stories and doesn't tear other people down. I think you two fellows have some of the worst venom on this forum.

Plus, CJ is a way better instructor than either of you. He understands the mental part of the game drawing upon his WORLD CHAMPION status and can explain and teach it at a PHD zen like level well beyond your basic capability.

You two guys are too uptight to teach anything to anyone. I could learn more about pool from Mrs. Marshall (AKA Mrs. Marsh Mellow) my third grade teacher.

Do either of you even do touch of inside?

Mike, you have serious issues. It is YOU that derailed the thread. I never even came close to saying what CJ said was trivial. Just the opposite in fact, if you would even bother to read. The only reason the thread was ruined was because you saw I posted and couldn't resist jumping in just to bash me. You need help.

OK! Truce. I'll go refill my meds and get back to you when you feel like arguing some more. :D

With that, the thread is back on track. Thanks, CJ!

Best,
Mike
