I drove over Sunday night, and arrived just in time to see Fatboy playing his buddy Bob some Eight Ball. They tried to get me into the game, but after a 280 mile drive, I was a little worn out.
Early the next morning, Angel, Joe and Victor showed up in their rig, ready to load up some pool tables. They were towing a 14' trailer with a large pick up truck. I never thought we would get it all in there. But some masterful loading work by Joe Gonzales and he got all six tables plus six large lights all on board. Good work Joe!
It took better than four hours to get everything in, mainly because Victor had to take apart a couple of sets of rails to make them fit. Victor and Joe have a real nice room in Modesto and are expanding it now. Angel can tell you more about that.
They bought all my remaining "almost new" GCIV's, all with ball returns. And one of my GCIV's with drop pockets. Some primo tables went into that trailer. I still have eight GCIV's left with drop pockets, plus a dozen real nice GCII's and III's. And even nine Global bar tables.
Jim Walker from Santa Maria is coming next week to pick up five GCIII's. I'm glad to see some guys who are still doing well in the pool room business. I don't care how bad the economy gets. People are still going to go out and have fun once in a while. They will cut back other places, like vacations and luxury items.
