I just wanted to share what a great experience I resently had with cue maker Kevin Varney. I just purchased one of Kevins cue from the wanted forum and every aspect of the transaction was a pleasure. What I was so impressed with was Kevins willingness to openly communicate all throughout the transaction. What was even more impressive was that even after I received the cue I had a few questions and he answered the quickly and more importantly throughly. All of his communications were in depth not just some one line response. As for the cue it plays great and I plan to post something in the cue review section, but I thought I would let everyone know that Kevin is a first class guy and if you are thinking of getting a real quality cue at a reasonable cost then I would highly recommed him.
Thanks again kevin

Did he ask you to come on here and post about your experience with him?

Consider yourself lucky to have such a pleasurable experience. There are quite a few others on here that cannot say the same thing. A lot of those threads have been deleted so just in case someone thinks to do a search of someone before they buy a cue and that someone is Varney, it would be a disservice to them to only see your compliment. I figure it is only fair to say that you're in the minority and people should dig deeper, past this thread to older threads to get the truth.

I'm glad you got your cue, had a good experience and like the cue, now go buy a lottery ticket.

Also a Good Experience

I also have had a very good experience dealing with Kevin Varney. I bought a cue from him here on AZ just before the Derby and have ordered another.

In fact, his cue has played so well for me that I sold all my other players and now only play with his cue. The cues I sold were all from very well known cue builders. I just think his cue plays better.

Kevin has also been great about answering my pm's. My experience on AZ has been a totally positive one. There seems to be a lot of really nice people on here.

There are quite a few people who have received good service and work from Varney.

On the other hand there are just way, way too many cases of the opposite for me to ever give the man a dime. I prefer to give it to people with ethics all the time, not just when it suits them.

Buyer / Seller transaction report is a sticky in the buy/sell forum.

It's purpose is self explanatory.

I have ALWAYS received absolutely great service from Kevin Varney. Quick responses, great cues, and well thought out replies to my many questions. Just my experiences with the man........

Keep building your rep Kev ;)
You're getting further and further away from banking at International Bank of Wheatbucks ;)

I dont understand why people take a thread about a cue review and turn it into the varney bash thread. And yes I have a varney custom cue, the wait was worth it.

Happy Easter Kevin

I have bought at least 3 Varney b/j's from Kevin and got only first class customer service. I would deal with him anytime. Nobody is perfect. i think we need to forgive and move foreward. Hope all had a happy Easter.

Wow. Are people that are putting negative post actually got bad service from him?
Word of mouth really isn't needed since there is always two sides to the story.
