Bravo Shane. Thanks for sharing this nice story.
Read the thread and this is my thoughts, too, in a nutshell.
Well said, Sir.
God bless Shane for doing this and God bless her for what
she's been through. My thoughts and prayers go out to her,
the family, and friends.
I was at Derby 2 weeks ago and just happened to get on the
elevator with Shane, I spoke to him briefly, because he got
off the elavator on a different floor. He was very kind and
admirable.
Little did I know at the time, I'd draw Shane in round 2 of the
9ball 2 days later. I must say that I've played Earl,Johnny, Ralf,
Thorsten, Shannon, Nevel, Kennedy, etc. in the past and even
though it was a thrill to compete with all those greats, it was
nothing like playing the best of the best, Mr. Shane Van Boening.
It was my honor and my privilege, awesome! Not taking away
from any of these wonderful people and great players, but the
feeling I had inside was totally different and just incredible.
Thank you for that Shane and thank you most of all for what you
did for this young lady.
Thank you OP for a heartfelt and wonderful thread.
