The 14 Point Snooker Shot

On one of the 9 ball (2005 World Masters, I think) broadcasts, a black ball was pocketed and then popped out of the pocket. The commentator, Jim Wych, said he had never see that happen in 15 years of broadcasting.

Today, playing Snooker, I sank the black in an end pocket, it jumped back out and rolled across the table into the side pocket.

I contend that, since I sank the ball twice with one shot, I should get double points. My opponent has great difficulty accepting this perfect logic.

If you pocketed it twice, of course you should get double the points.

Of course, this makes getting the *true* maximum of 294 that much harder to accomplish.

Well, theoretically, if we counted balls that went in and jumped back out, then you could pot infinite reds followed by blacks.

This 'maximum' of infinity is even harder to achieve, which would explain why I've only done it a few times:p :D

LOL, I rarely laugh out loud when reading posts.
