Just felt like posting a short and true scenerio for you guys.
In this instance I was the accidental shark....well perhaps not accidental, just not intended even if it MUST have seemed so.
I was playing an apa 8ball six.I'm a five who leans towards six I suppose (been there for a short while if that helps) so it was a close match.I was on the hill he needed two more.He left the 8 ball pertty close to straight in and just about three feet out.
This ball was money imo so I did (without thinking) what I would do in most instances.... I went to retrieve balls and concede the game.
I should mention some beers were consumed,so don't right me off as a complete idiot...just a slightly intoxicated idiot.
Anywho he's in his backstroke and focused and I approach the table and start pulling balls out of the corner pocket and then I remember what I have always coached....NEVER EVER concede a game winning shot or run for that matter. So I freeze. Two balls in my hand standing at the table. He never stopped with the backstroke, but I knew dam well he saw me....he was probably thinking all kinds of stuff by then...liked why I came to the table?Conceding or not??...and most probably WTF?? when I froze.
I still expected him to play it....but he missed it.I felt like a horses ass.
Now being the co captian and this teams original captian for many years I have some weight opinion wise.I stopped the score keepers before they scored the win.
After a brief discussion we decided to start it again (after all,he might have missed it) innings be damned and the winner of that game would get the win mark.
Turned out to be me but not my proudest moment by any strectch.
Anyone one else been an accidental horses ass?
