thanks for the list. that pretty much clears it up for me. gonna try and make this tournament. so you can sign up the day of the tournament by noon? when is the last day to make an online payment?

Payment Options

All players must be present by 12:00 noon. There is no deadline for online payments. We can even accept credit cards at the event if you desire. Hope to see you there!

A bump to the top for what should be a great event.

Also some questions on the 8-ball rules being used:

1) Is it call pocket?

2) Is the table open after the break (choice of balls)?

3) Is the 8 on the break a win? Or is it spotted and the breaker continues shooting?

4) A scratch on the break. Is this ball in hand behind the head string line for the opponent? Or is it ball in hand anywhere on the table?

5) A player drops the 8 ball on the break but also scratches. Is this loss of game or is the 8 spotted?

6) A player scratches when shooting the 8 ball. Is this loss of game? Or does the opponent receive ball in hand anywhere on the table?

7) Can a player call safe and then pocket one of his own balls? Some people call this "safe in" or "safe down."

8) Jump cues allowed?

9) 3 foul rule?

Your tournament, your criteria, I understand and respect that.

But one day, someone can explain to me what a Semi-Pro really is?

In my view, either you're a professional or not.

But, if it works for everybody else, more power to you.

Hope you have a successful event.

Inside English,

If the labels "Pro" and "Semi-Pro" weren't present, you would probably have no question/confusion. "AA" vs "A" is easier for people to accept. The intent is simply to separate the skill levels so that the superior players have more skin in the game. There is probably no dispute that the "AA" players cited above are of a higher skill level than the "A" players cited. I try to encourage people not to get hung up on the labels.

The ACTION starts tomorrow at noon!

More people have already paid their entry fee online for this event than any other previous one. It should be awesome!
