The Action Pool Tour (APT): May 5-6, VIP Billiards, Catonsville, MD!

Update

Thanks Black-Balled!

No, "The Oz" did not vanish. It is my hope that people will get into the routine of going to www.actionpooltour.com for tournament updates, photos, stories, schedule, etc.

We missed you there...are you ever going to play with us again?

Updates

It would be terrific if everyone visited The Action Pool Tour website to get all of the information. More website traffic makes it easier to attract sponsors which equates to more money returned to the players in the form of added money, prizes and bonuses.

However, it would be negligent to not post tournament announcements on the AZBilliards forums given the amount of traffic that it receives.

Humm realy ,, so you are saying the APT adds cash to the payout ,,

I agree it would be negligent not to post tury info and results
on AZ given the amount of traffic,,

Yes...there is added money in every APT event. This is specifically explained on the Frequently Asked Questions page of the APT site.

Secondly, I tend to disagree with posting results on a "Tournament Announcement" forum if the organization/tour has a functioning website with that information. In my humble opinion, it really isn't fair to bump someone's announcement for an upcoming tournament down the list with results from our own past event. We just try to be respectful to everyone.

You might be unaware of this, but Ozzy always posts the story and results immediately to AZBilliards and it usually appears on the Monday following the tournament. You just have to check the news stream on the home page:

I get it that you obviously want everything in 1 place, but let's summarize:

1) Ozzy provides incredibly detailed tournament announcements, bumping them regularly, but not obscenely, answering everyone's questions respectfully;

2) Ozzy updates the brackets and puts them online on his website at the conclusion of day 1 and then again at the conclusion of day 2;

3) Ozzy sends a story, with results, to AZ Billiards on Sunday or Monday morning, within hours of the tournament's conclusion, where it is posted in the current news on the home page of AZBilliards, usually on the same day;

4) a link to the story was provided in this thread; and

5) you're still not happy.

Thanks

Beetle,
Thank you for recognizing some of my efforts. It's ok though...we will keep on doing the best we can do to keep people informed and grow the APT bigger and better. Thanks again for all that YOU do!

My 'point' was actually...

Even though I looked here, I quickly realived the info was available with just a couple of clicks.

The Oz is by far the most communicative and savvy TD operating in our area, period. No debate whatever.

Prinsloo was excellent too, but he go bye-bye now.

Thanks

I appreciate the kind remarks...I just wish we could convince you to come out and play with us more often!:grin:

I love the APT and the constant updating of information on the website. However I absolutely believe that if promoters post their tourneys in this forum then they need to provide the results within the same thread. Even if its a quick blurb and then linking your website.

I have posted before that I think anyone not posting results should not be allowed to advertise their events. My two cents.

Are you challenging me to a dew-el?

I also think you're doing a great job Ozzy and I did check out the web site.

I checked out the schedule and couldn't figure out which events would be 9-ball, 10-ball, or whatever else. Is that something you decide later on or am I missing that somewhere or could you modify the site to show what type of event each tournament will be?
