This is a video on You Tube covering the history of Gregorio George Balabushka, his method of making cues during his three distinct cue making periods and the evolution of the company making modern copies of his models. Pete Tascarella's involvement is also covered. I only wish they would have shown photos of some Balabushka originals. In fact, there is very little photo coverage and non-existent video footage. It's all narration but the information is interesting for vintage afficionados.

I haven’t watched this, but The Balabushka Cue Company is a different company than George Balabushka, who is different than the Adam Japan cue company.

Should I dread watching this?

Edit: as I feared… so many things wrong. Unbelievable. Who owns this video?

AI has incorrect information everywhere and info on pool cues is included in its misinformation base. I have found misinformation in any topic that one may choose to research.
AI info is only as good as what is input - so no one knows if the input is correct to start - much of it is not accurately verified.
In recent pool cue research AI has returned info to me that I know is just wrong or conflicts with secondary searches into the AI data base.
IMO actual pool cue historic catalogs and the Blue Books of old had the best printed sources of cue histories. Secondly, we have a few people in this country , who, through years of their own research and cue collecting or dealing can be viewed as reliable cue info sources - examples of which would be Guys like Jay Fishbein and also ThePalmer Collector, Mark in Ct. Involving 60s- 80s classic cues, Pete on GB cues, Barry on his dad’s cues -etc. etc.
