You should collaborate with lou and have him write it for you. However close your pool games may be, he gives you the 6 out in writing.

He was a professional writer. I am a case maker.

However I think I will get my story done well enough on my own.

I assume he was playing off the great Beatles song, "The Ballad of John and Yoko."

Love it. :)

I think he was but I was watching and listening to music as I usually do, during the stream and I caught another old song that Streisand sang. It was Send In The Clowns. In my head I changed it and made it singular clown. Changed a couple of words too.

Isn't it rich. Isn't it queer.
Playing so lousy so late, in my career

Isn't it bliss? Don't you approve?
One who keeps laying it down. One who can't move

Just when I stopped, opening doors
Finally knowing the pocket I shot at was yours
Making my entrance again with my usual flair
Sure of my line, my system is air.

Don't you love farce? My fault I fear
Thought I played one hole, sorry my dear.
Send in the clown
Quick, send in the clown
Don't bother Barton's here....

Great write-up, Lou!

You know, you were so cool that I don't think anybody watching would have suspected the emotional roller coaster you'd been on the whole time. Seeing how John looked and acted, I can only imagine how much worse it was for him.

I especially loved the metaphor about being wheeled into surgery and being resigned to your fate. Powerful stuff for sure (and I have to admit, you kept it classy). Can't wait for the rest of the story to unfold.

Thanks, SP. Just drafted up Part Two for tomorrow.

I'm just impressed that you have a La Pavoni at home. And that you can make both a latte and a cappuccino - at home for me it's just espresso with frothed milk. There are no fine distinctions between lattes and cappuccinos. Would you mind starting a new side thread? ;)

And a Rancilio grinder :-)

As I understand the espresso thing you just have to remember that a latte = a lotta milk, while a cappuccino = a cap of foam (with less milk).

Good post Lou... my only regret is I did NOT bet more on you... oh well, next time :)

Thanks, RJ. Believe me, there were a lot of folks with regrets that were not able to get down, despite advertising to the contrary.

The brutal part is I have to wait 2 more days to read chapter 2. Nice right up by the way. Looking forward to more.

Thanks, MOJOE. The real brutal part is that I have to write them :-)

Actually, I enjoy writing them, they just do take some time.

I love the honest feeling.

Looks like Lalumiere also got his pound of flesh.

Thanks for posting

Kevin

Thanks, Kevin. Honesty is something I think is critical to any kind of writing. It would be real easy to paint it differently, but I know what I went through and that has to be the way I write it up.

Mike was a happy camper. Here's Dustin and Mike. We're all texting away post victory.
