I understand that you are the leader in cue restoration, no one is disputing this. The only mention of Proficient in this thread was regarding your pricing, which is inline with the industry, this is no secret either.

My question to you, Scot, is why would you post here using a ":rolleyes:" as if you are looking down on someone who is trying to get some business drummed up as they are up and coming in cue repair?

I just think it's a little uncalled for. Just seems a bit of a dick measuring contest now..

WRONG, painpool had no business using scotts prices as a example and now scott has a right to respond (why not use Motteys prices ot Strouds). You guys can build up this up and comer all you want,but there has been numerous post on az about painpool and how some of his dealings have not turned out right.Anyone who has used Scot knows who's the best,there's alot more to refinish work than meets the eye,like all the dic weeds that try and send work to him and refuse to pay to have it done right and go cheap on refinishing a cue and then turn around and sell it and say scots the problem. LOL

He can use whomever's pricing he so chooses to. It's obvious that he is providing a service that obviously from others posts in this thread people are happy with.
 
i believe aaron was responding to a comment made first about aaron's prices as compared to scott's. so aaron only anwered a question, he did not bring up scott's prices himself.

Painpool's wraps

I had Aaron do a maroon lizard wrap on a Zyler SP I recently bought from him. The cue is wonderful, but the WRAP!!! The wrap, gentlemen, is just plain over the top. It is truely outstanding.
I'm a new guy on the forum and I was a little uptight about sending all that money accross the country to some guy I don't know, and the deal moved a little slowly, but the cue, the wrap and the whole deal in general turned out SO good!!....I mean, no lie, this wrap absolutely stops traffic wherever I go. The seam? What seam?!! It's really excelent.
By the way I am really a fussy dick about quality on work like this, since I do this sort of work too. If I had not been buying the cue from Aaron anyhow, I would have done it myself just to get the quality job I wanted, just like everything else. But I'm glad I had Aaron do it. He's a fussy guy too. We need more of these.
 
i also believe that Aaron did not reference scotts work or prices in any degrading manner... somebody questioned his prices compaired to Proficient, he responded to what his prices included.. i dont believe there is any bad blood there.. i have been to Scotts shop... it is deffinatly a first class operation... this is really a stupid thing to argue over...

Well

Have'nt we been busy since I've been gone. I first want to say that sincerly apoligize to anybody that I offended or misunderstood my statement. I have always been mindful of Scott's work and did not mean to undermine him in anyway. He has worked very hard for his rep. and I am nobody to denounce that or undermine him. He does outstanding work and deserves his pricing. My offer as should have been stated, is only a special if you will, to build confidence in my workmanship. It was never intended to cut legs. I am not really making any money at these prices and they will go to a normal rate when I feel I have proven my workmanship. Thanx so much Aaron 815-243-1101:D :D :D :D
