The Best Non Layered tips?

never heard of Sterling tips before, thanks for letting us know. As for non-layered tips, I've heard tips by Brunswick brand were consistent and nice to play with. At the moment I try different Elk Master tips soaked and pressed. Frankly I suppose those tips are not worse than Sterling (if pressed to equal or comparative condition). Before that I was happy with Triangle and believed it was the best non-layered tip (used to choose the hardest of them from the box).

What do you mean with the Elk Master tips soaked and pressed?
Im rather new to pool.

And do the Elk Master tips last long because they are really cheap.

Thanks for the tip on the um.. tips. I was just looking at mine a few days ago and it's almost due for a replacement. It's the one that came stock on the Samsara, but I've been breaking with it, so needs a replacement sooner than I thought it would. I'll order some and give them a shot.

pressed tips last much longer than non-pressed. Please use search for "milk duds", there are several threads on them. Once you find a couple you can find links to other threads there. It has been discussed pretty thorough.

I want to try non layered cue tips especially the soft variety and came across this thread. I have Elkmaster but would like to try the Sterling tips mentioned in this thread. Sterling gaming lists them as out of stock, says they are made of cowhide. I sent them a note asking for info but have not heard back. Does anyone have any of these???
