This question is for all you instructor and professionals out there. I Live in Lewistown, MT and am 28 years old. I have a dream to go pro and I am getting there. We play on mostly 7' tables here. I donate 2 hours in the morn and 2 hours in the evening to practice as i have a table at my house.

My question is, what would your best advise as far as what i should be doing in those 2 hours?

thanks

Go to a pool hall.

Start by at least doubling your practice time. Look at books and DVDs and figure out what your weak points are and work on them. Watch the streams and see how the pros play different shots. The Turing Stone tournament is on now and streaming. You'll see some of the best in the world playing.
Play better players, a LOT!

Cut your real practice time down to about 30 minutes twice a day then add some playing time in.

Practice is:
Repeatable
Measurable
What you take to the game table.

Learn how to run a 100 playing straight pool.Table size won't matter.
Lessons from a pro and or books, dvds.Good luck and practice hard.John B.

Adding to what Randy said...lessons with a pro instructor will teach you what to practice and how to practice to get the most out of it. Once you develop a killer stroke (which you do with the right kind of practice), playing lessons with a pro player will help you learn how to play specific games better.
