The Billiard Encyclopedia -New Third Edition on ebay

I pre-ordered it back in April and haven't received mine yet. My credit card was billed in full at the time, so it would be a little annoying if they are now shipping them to new orders on Ebay without fulfilling their existing pre-orders first.

Have you tried calling or emailing them? It's too late to call them now, being on the East coast and all.

He's been selling them on Ebay for quite some time now, it was almost a year ago I seen him selling them. From what I heard he bought back the remaining stock and is selling them on his own. From what I remember the 3rd edition has been out for a while, or is it new?
 
The_Hill, The 3rd Edition is New, and they were suppose to be shipped out end of September 2008. That was the last report. I order my March 2008.
 
Paid cash in full in March. I have no book yet. Excuses only. The ebay book is 9 dollars more than I paid almost 7 months ago. Wow this seems wrong

If that's the case I must be thinking of the second edition. He was getting close to 90 bucks or so for it. I assume he wasn't selling the 3rd addition a year out.

Good luck with it guys, I want one but I'm having second thoughts now.
 
That Ebay account has two listings for the same item at present. There's no feedback as a Seller recently, but they had an unsold listing last week for a 2nd edition (Listing# 330274594427). In the text of this listing it says the 3rd Edition is coming out today. (10/15/08) It seemed an odd marketing tactic to promote how much bigger and better the 3rd Edition will be when asking more for the 2nd Edition.

I certainly hope the date in this listing is accurate and that my copy is winging it's way to me right now!

I just called Blatt Billiards and they confirmed they are shipping my pre-ordered copy today. They told me they are sending them Fed-Ex ground and they should be emailing me the tracking number.

Just got off the Phone with Victor Stein. Books are been ship out [using Fed-Ex] as we speak, at a rate of 80 to 100 books a day, by Pre-order Numerical List.
Stein expect to ship out 600 books this week. He might put more information out later.

The price have increase as seen on Ebay. Stein was using ebay to let people know you could buy now.

The book weight 12 lbs.

Billiard Encyclopedia 3rd Edition Arrives!!!

The Third Edition starts shipping today at the rate of 60 books a day plus or minus a few. Things are very hectic right now and we will try and ship them on a first come first serve basis. It will still take some time until we catch up on 600 preorders. Most pre-orders were sold at $150.00, some with free shipping. If that's the deal we made, great. So many of you waited patiently and I'm glad you saved a couple of bucks in the process. Because we added so many images and changed things so many times, the book is larger now and the price is $159.95 with $12.95 for shipping It is available on my site www.billiardencyclopedia.com or on Blatt's site
www.blattbilliards.com for those you want to pay by credit card. There may be a few dollars difference because of the location and some books need repacking to insure safe delivery. Only books ordered on my site can be signed at the moment until we catch up.
At this time I would like to apologize for the long delay and thank all those that hung in there with me, believed in the project, and prepaid. This was not an easy project and we redid the book several times. In fact we did the whole book over 8 months ago as I wasn't happy with it. I may never do another, so I wanted this one to be over the top. I don't mind saying I don't think you'll be disappointed when you receive it.
Please be patient a little longer as we are trying to ship as many books as possible every day. The reason I put it on eBay was to let people know the book was really here so there would be no misunderstanding after all the stop and go?s. I may use PayPal in the future but you can go to Blatt and charge the book there if you like.
We now start work on The Collector?s Edition and will inform you when they are ready.
Of the 300 that will be made only 75 are still available. The price for collector edition is now $850.00.We will honor all those that were pre-ordered at the old price.
Thanks again for your patience, and thanks again to all of you who were a part of the project. I couldn?t have done it without you. It was a true labor of love for me and I hope you all enjoy it.

I just received My pre-order copy of Billiard Encyclopedia 3rd edition,delivered today by FedEx. All I can Say Holly Cowwwww, not only heavy and well pack. But I'll be business the next few months reading and drooling at the cues and article pictures. $150 a bargin , this Book should be selling for $500. I don't know how Victor could improve anymore on this book. This a keeper!!!!!!!!!!!

And let say " A Cue Tap to All Involved with this Book" Well Done Victor Stein.

Tap~Bump ~Tap~Bump. That even with knowing the fact my Dieckman's Masse Cue Didn't make the cut, but was consider and photograph for the book by Stein.
 
I wonder what is the difference between Priority Mail International and PMI Flat-Rate Box ways of delivery? The former is $20 more expensive, and I failed to find any description. I could guess it includes some additional services like insurance and other billiardshot explained to Solartje above. Delivery terms are stated to be the same. Could anyone give me an input?
