I have been on this board for many years. A constant amongst the threads is how to grow the sport. Recently I have had success putting pool in some schools in Pasadena Texas. This success has lead to opportunities with the greater Houston area.
For those of you that know me (which are few) I never think small. My ultimate goal is to have billiards adopted as a UIL sanctioned activity. What is UIL you ask. UIL is one of the largest and most influential sports organizations in the world. It is the sanctioning body that governs sports in Texas schools. Other states and even other countries study and follow what UIL does. If billiards is accepted by UIL most other states would follow their lead. I know this to be true because I did a research project on this subject last summer for my graduate program. Food for thought my friends.
I propose that this goal should be one of the central focuses of the powers that be in our sport. With that said I want to say this "I DONT CARE ABOUT MONEY OR PRAISE", I just want to see this happen.
Regards,
Marcus
