Lenny,

I think I know who you are talking about. They came in a bit earlier around 10 or 10:30 last night as we were finishing up straight pool league and I was sitting there watching the end of the match between Jimmy and Mike.

Both of these players we know very well as they were regulars at Alexander's for many years. Jr. comes in first and asks me if I want to play. I politely decline and then up comes his dad asking the same. We all decline stating that we had to get up in the morning and go to work and it was getting late. But it was very clear that Sr. was very drunk.

Then Sr. starts barking at us saying that the 3 of us don't have any heart and goes on for about 15 minutes saying this. Yes, Jimmy M., Mike W., and myself don't have any heart . We leave shortly after as Sr. was being an ass. And I comment to Mike and his wife how I was surprised at Sr.'s behavior. Suffice it to say, I was very suprised.

Dennis, I think it is the father son duo that is into racing and used to be part of the Alexander's crew. Think ponytail and hat.

Crazy. I couldn't believe it.

Sorry that happened to you on your birthday, Lenny. I think we are talking about the same people and I would've never guessed that would happen.

You hit the nail on the head Ray,that was them.We got the call some guys were looking for action so Muaz matched up with Jr. and me and Jay played one pocket until Sr. wanted to play and woofed some.We agreed on $20 a rack 8 ball and he was down a $100 and we made it race to 3 for $100,he loses both sets and is down $300, he only won one game the whole time we played.Muaz said the guy always paid him and that the guy did not seem like himself and was acting different then he remembered him,I guess it was the alcohol.I did not know the guy but he barked and I decided to bite, guess he thought he had a fish.I have no idea what he was thinking barking at you guys all 10's and Jimmy a 10-1,hmmmm.....alcohol! :shakehead:

Wow! WTF! Lenny, if this is who i think it is, i will have a chat with Sr. I know him quite well. Sr. is actually a pretty good, honest guy and this is way out of character for him. i will get a hold of him and see what i can do.

I also know Jr.; however, this is not the first time he has done this so i'm not surprised at that. I am a little surprised that he took a swing at you, he only weighs about 80 lbs. He has no chance! :) And Jr. if u read this, u need the 6 out in a boxing match with Lenny. :)

He had to be joking with you all, especially with Jimmy and Mike. He must have been EXTREMELY intoxicated. For Pete's sake (no pun intended), he was a team member with them at one time.

Double WOW!

I know exactly who you're talking about. I have gambled many many times with Sr. He always paid or his partner did. That is crazy. Those two have been around for a long time.

Sr. can play a little on the bar box, when he is sober.

Its hard to believe. But I too have Sr. when he is plowed. That's too bad.

Happy belated B-Day. Im sure it will be one to remember.

I also know who you are talking about.
They have been showing up at the barbox tournament at the Playa on fridays.

Jr has a mouth on him, especially when drinking.
Sr always to me seemed to be a pretty good guy.

Why is noone stating any names? lol
but, I dont want to be the first one to say it outloud. lol
But i think it starts with a P

:). the two guys who pulled this stunt. They deserve to have their names out there for the other players to avoid. I'm not sure who they are, they must be new to the pool scene here in Arizona. Maybe they will show up for the Metro tournament. That would be interesting.

They are not new to AZ. They've been here forever, and you know them both. I've never seen this behavior out of either of them (although I haven't seen Jr.'s act much since he's gotten older. I remember him being like 10 years old). The dad was woofing at me to play even while I was on my way out the door and he has NO shot. He was actually getting a bit belligerent about it. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing out of those two.

Now I know why he was trying to play even ... I wasn't going to get paid anyway.

Jimmy was he really being serious though? Wanting to play you even? I can't imagine he was serious, unless he was really intoxicated.

Yep, he was even being an ass with me. I didn't even really know how to respond to any of it because it was almost like it had to be a joke or something.

You guys are too funny.I don't know them but Muaz said he has never had a problem and that Sr. was just really intoxicated and he never saw the guy like that.If he pays then its done and over with,he can meet me sober and pay me and I will give him a shot at it back for sure,I told him square up at $300 and we could keep playing until the wheels fall off but apparently they fell off before I showed up.I dont know if maybe he is having a tough time right now or whatever the deal is but don't gamble, they looked bad off to me or they were just having a bad night. If you see him Dennis just let him know he can square up with me and we can play more but I want him sober because from what you guys are saying this is out of character.

Wow, do you have his number? I don't have it any longer. I'm sure he will regret that today. That is way out of line and way out of character for Sr.

I'm not sure. He seemed serious. Honestly, on top of really having to get out of there, he was being such a dickhead that I didn't even really care to call his bluff. I told them that I could not play last night, but I gave them my number and told them to call me and let me know if they were serious about playing. I figured they'd sober up and I'd never get a phone call anyway.

I don't have his number anymore either. Ron probably has it.

And, yeah, it's way out of character for Sr. Someone actually just told me that they've seen him like this before, but I never have, and I've known the guy for probably close to 15 years.
