It's a Frankenstein, did anyone notice it's 6 legged? The rails don't go with the frame.
it came in 4 and 6 leg bud....tables right from what i can see.

Do you remember if the plywood bit is just a spacer and how it was held in place?when you take the sub rails and slates, top frame all that off....
the tapered legs and the wide planks b/t each leg are held on by two screws each on every end, top and bottom of that board.
use 1/2 box end wrench. stick your hand.....or someones hand or your gonna need long wrench into the hole on top of leg.....and use socket in other and losen......
i'd advise going over all the glue joints checking them as they may need repair possibly from dry rot or breakdown whatever you call it.....when da glue so old it forgets its job lol

Awesome, I think I can handle that. I kind of like it because the legs look so unique.yes....it was two small round head phillips style screws......the subrails even have the blind hole that the screw sits in, so the head is in the subrail not on its outer surface. if that makes sense.
i edited that pic so you know for sure what i'm talking about......
like i said its such a simple piece.....any fool with a jig saw could make a new one/ones. Hell you could refinish the whole table and the skirts even if they were missing because its built so plain and square, no curves and shit.
i liked it alot too because it reminded me of alot of the furniture my grandmother had from 60's/70's her stuff was real wood also, Oak...with that little black splatter paint stuff too.
its def no GC or really high end table but i really enjoyed it and so does the guy and his kids that bought the one i had.

Side question. Does it use floating rail nuts like a GC or inserts?

Thanks for all of the info GG.now that i cant remember....but thinking back i could swear it was inserts....but dont quote me on that.
i just remember it being in great shape...was in a really big brick homes game room and had red cloth that looked 15years old.....and i thought i was stealing and i was in my opinion for 600....all it needed was new glue in some spots and such like i spoke of the plywood pieces, im almost 100% sure that was the only plywood on the table.
i liked it because it was very simple and if i had kept it i had plans to rebuild all the connectors and such that are just glued and stapled and beefen up the frame.....to me what i saw as a wood worker was almost the perfect starter kit for a gorgeous table.....the sub rails even could be redone easily and add veneers or whatever, redo skirts.....would be a very simple task compared to tables with all those curves and angles.
The legs are real wood as well also. I remember thinking well i bet these at least are faux wood.....nope. I was very impressed for a late model brunswick of that era.
flat top rails are the shizznit...i could nit pick the table apart based on frame and such like any other but its really a great "little" tablesince i've known it always seemed to think "why the hell havent i seen more of these" designs pretty great...its not loud or retarted looking, kinda classy would match alot of homes decor.......its nice!
maybe its just me tho.....i WISH mine had been a 6 leg! thats GREAT
Thanks for all of the info GG.
It's funny how different things can look in person. I went to check it out today and it is in rough shape. I don't think there is a single part around the rails where the cloth wasn't stained. I think it was frequently used as a coaster for parties.
It looked great in the pictures, couldn't tell there was a stain on the cloth. Comes with 3 sets of pool balls (aramith) and 2 sets of snooker balls. They look like they went through a wood chipper followed up by an army of elves with small rock hammers.

finances are a bit tight and I had to sell it![]()
Half the cash went to the bank account and the other half is going towards another table

Thanks.I am sorry to hear that. I hope you find a suitable replacement and things work out for you.
And besides that I really enjoyed fixing up the gold crown and am kind of looking forward to working on another table. Silver lining everywhere if you look hard enoughI am sorry to hear that. I hope you find a suitable replacement and things work out for you.
