I think that was the 8 ball match, last game vs. Nick Van Denberg(sp). Yes, Earl ran out, went to shake hands, and Nick grabbed and held on to Earls hand for a few moments. Earl asks wtf? Nick complains that Earl didn't look at him as he shook hands. Earl says it was because your supporters seated behind them in the stands were acting like idiots. I think both players equally at fault on that deal.....

Civility is not a core value in our culture
Unfortunately, your emphasis on civility is not representative of our dominant culture. If an extraterrestial being toured our country it might conclude;
1. Fist fights are the essence of hockey.
2. Parents prefer drug abusing, illiterate felons spewing forth profanity as role models for their children.
3. College administrators emphasize & nurture star ball players over stellar scholars, researchers, & teachers. Keep in mind that all profits remain in the Athletic departments.
4. High school principals emphasize rigor in coaching rather than in teaching science & math.
5. Urban leaders value money losing stadium deals while the arts, classical music, & theater starve.
Our extraterrestial visitor might recommend the following to ESPN;
Pool tournaments should feature players smoking & drinking while playing and butts should be reinforced to function as fighting sticks. Interviews should be laced with poor grammar & expletives. Gambling should be blatent with the concealed weapons of "backers" openly displayed. Chalk holders should be openly deployed as dildos by women players exhibiting maximum cleavage. Michael Jackson could organize child care facilities for patrons with gangster rap playing throughout the tournament.

I agree 100%. It is time that Earl is no longer allowed to represent the USA in pool events. He is not a good role model. To be honest, he is a disgrace to the world of pool in general. He can play great, but there needs to be something done with his attitude. It would be like seeing Phil Mickelson call Tiger woods a f&%$er because he lost to him.
It is time for Earl to find another career. His attitude needs to be adjusted or he needs to move on.
