THE European pool Championships website

this information will be updated as soon as it is available.
We would like to have up to date information so we will try to talk to most players asking them to fill in their stats.
At the acreditation of the tournament all players who have not yet filled in their bio get a form from us and their picture taken. At the time of the tourmant the database will be fuly running

please have a look at:
www.europeanpoolchampionships.com

Although their will be more and more information soon!!

Thanks.

Berry, you can use my avatar picture from AzB in the EC website :D

I'll let you know my info, as soon as I can confirm my new cue order and if I'll start playing with it :p

Update your own Player Profile

Statistics show us that many poolfans have already taken a peek at our website. One of the things heard is that it looks a bit empty because for example the player profiles aren't filled yet.

If your name already appears on this site, your entry is confirmed at the EPBF. Your name is added to our database but your player profile is still empty. At the accreditation, every player will be asked to fill in a player profile so that all info will be uo-to-date as the tournament starts.

But why wait?
Send us your player profile now and we'll update your personal information immediately !!

Go to the website and click on latest news

It would help us a lot if you could send a picture of yourself in action as well. Your "official" picture will be taken on the day of accreditation, but for the time being we can use the one you send us.

Thanks ! I think I need the luck, especially in 14.1 tournament would be nice to have a few innings at the table. Those top straight pool guns have always one or two one inning matches (125-out) on every tournament.

The stories behind the numbers are always nice to tell & hear. For instance, in EPC 2002 which was held in Finland, I remember an 8-ball match between Radoslaw Babica and Niels Feijen. Babica was leading 7-5, race to 8 and he had a really easy out, just a 3 or 4 balls to go. I thought the match was over, walked away to grab some lunch. I had walked about 50 meters when I heard a terrible scream from the tables. Perplexed, I walked back to the table and saw Babica sitting down with a reddish-crimson face and Niels at the table. Probably saw some steam coming out of Babicas ears :p If I remember correctly, Babica got to shoot from a snooker at 7-6 but missed and like an icing on the cake, Niels performed an unbelievable nervewrecking run-out on hill-hill with hitting a couple of clusters perfectly and freeing the 8-ball with his last ball. These kind of matches make the spectators happy, even though I felt slightly sorry for Babica, but you know, pool is cruel ! :)

Frederique Rijsdijk will be the official photographer of the European Pool Championships 2005. Rijsdijk has a lot of experience both as a player (Dutch Champion Teams with Dijkje Tornado's) and photographer. He has covered many major events already and we're delighted that he is added to the team.

To get a real good impression of his skills and style of photography, we've added two sample galleries to the "Photo Galleries" section. Both series were made during the Weert Open 2005, last january. The saturday-series covers the ultimate Ringgame as well. A fantastic showdown of the topplayers who were present in Weert. Bustamante, Engert, Van den Berg, Souquet, Feijen, Chamat and Immonen battled it out in this 10-ball ringgame.

Also if you are selected fore the European pool championships then please send in your palmares and a nice picture.

Regards,

Berry
