I actually just replied in another thread with this. Since I've written a few of these and somebody invariably asks every so often, I figured I should just start a thread. If you have trouble posting pictures, bookmark this thread as a reference. Or maybe we can make a sticky out of it.
Anyway, there are two ways to post pictures. The method I prefer is listed first. The second method is easier but it does not allow you to embed your picture between text in your post--in other words, the picture just shows up at the bottom of your post.

Note1: This is written in "old geezer" language...even an 80 year old could follow these instructions (at least I think so).
Note2: I've included the complete instructions to host your picture on the internet as well as post it in AZBilliards (and other vBulletin forums). If the picture you want to display is already on the internet somewhere, then you can use that one--ignore steps 1a-1i and skip to step 2a. If the picture is on your computer and you wish to use this method, you'll need to follow steps 1a-1i to host your picture online; ignore steps 2a-2b.
I have used some symbols to help you.
|XXXXX| This indicates a button on your screen which has the text XXXXX
"XXXXX" This indicates that you will have to type XXXXX
Note3: For this first method, you can even post pictures in the quick reply box. I still recommend always posting by clicking |Post Reply| or |Quote|
1a. Go here.
1b. Click |Browse|
1c. A window will pop up. Navigate to the location on your hard drive where that picture is stored.
1d. Click |Open|
1e. Check |Resize Image| by clicking the little box.
1f. Click the drop down menu and select |640x480 (for message boards)|
1g. Click |Upload|
1h. After the page loads, you should see something like this. Look for the field that says, "Hotlink for forums (1)"
1i. Copy the text inside the text field...in Windows, you can highlight the text, right-click, and select |Copy|
2a. Go to the picture where ever you found it on the internet.
2b. If you use Windows, you can just right-click on the picture and select |Copy Image Location|
If that selection is not possible, then you can click |View Image|. You should then see a blank page with nothing but the picture. Now you'll want to copy the URL of that website. The URL can be found at the top of the page where you would usually put "www.google.com" -- Just make sure you copy the whole thing including the "http://"
3. Now come back to the AZBilliards forums. Click |Post Reply|in the thread where you want the picture to be.
4. Paste the contents of your clipboard in the location of your post where you want the picture to show. Again, with Windows, you can just right-click and select |Paste|. It should look something like this:

It comes in various sizes.

The exact size of the implant will be selected by a well-trained and highly skilled technician.[/QUOTE]
Note4: You'll notice image tags surrounding the URL of your picture. If you used step 1, then you'll already have these tags. If you used step 2, then you'll need to put them in yourself. You can just type [IMG] and [/IMG*]. Make sure you remove the asterisk when you're posting. I had to put it there to tell vBulletin that I wasn't trying to display a picture. Believe it or not, you have just learned to code HTML; pat yourself on the back as this is your first word in the language of the internet.
5. Now click |Submit Reply| at the bottom of your post.
DONE!! You should see your post complete with pictures and everything

Now the second method. It's also written in computer illiterate language. AZBilliards supports image hosting so you can add the picture as an attachment to your post.
Note1: You need to have the picture stored on your computer to use this method.
Note2: It's important that your picture is saved as a vBulletin supported format. This means the file name MUST have one of the following extensions: .bmp .gif .jpe .jpeg .jpg .png
If the above just sounds like gibberish to you, then try it anyway. If it works, you're golden. If not, you can PM me and I'll walk you through changing the file extension, or you can ask your local geek for help.
1. Go to the thread in which you want your picture to show.
2. It's important that you click |Post Reply| as |Post Quick Reply| will not work.
3. At the very bottom, you'll need to click |Manage Attachments|
[IMG]http://lookpic.com/i/642/Rkgogd8P.jpeg
4. A window will pop up. Click |Browse|
5. Navigate to the location in which your desired picture is stored on your computer.
6. After you have found the picture, select it and click |Open|
Note3: You can repeat steps 3-6 several times if you wish to upload more pictures.
7. After you have finished uploading your pictures, close the window. Don't worry, your pictures are there and ready to go...you just can't see them yet.
8. Type whatever message you wish to post. After you've completed that, click |Submit Reply|
That's it!! You're done. Your picture should now be displayed underneath your message.
