I had dinner with them both about 3 years ago. Just after Covid - to put time line on it best I can recall. Was at the Rio, there was 20 of us there. Fun times.

They have the absolutly the greatest cue collection ever. And it couldn’t be owned by better people. Every time I meet them I learn something.

Best

I thought I had heard that Denny had begun selling everything....could be wrong

Going through cues? How about sharing some pics and stories for us cue lovers? You ain't got nothin' better to do!
I’m so bad at taking pics of my cues or anything I own. 😕 Next time I’m in the cues I’ll take some pics. I have a few interesting cues, and you are right they shouldn’t be just hid away.

I had the pleasure of visiting Denny's collection while I was in Vegas for The Mosconi Cup in 2019, I believe. He's got cues from every champion imaginable. Here I am with Mosconi's 526 Rambow.

Denny Glenn came to my house to look at a Centennial table I had for sale. He then began to low ball me on every pool and billiard item I owned. Tried to explain why I should sell him everything. Art work, cues, tables, one of a kind 12 foot Bagatelle table, cases, everything. I then low balled him back to buy one of his centennials.

He got upset and then he said a great line I still use today. He said, "I'm a buyer, not a seller". He wasn't lying.

FYI - he made a lot of his money in the pest / bug control business. They owned the biggest pet control business in Houston. I can't remember the name. I think they sold that business.

dennis has not begun selling everything as far as i know.

He is planning to start a big Pool Hall of Fame. I have never known him to sell one of the collectible cues,
but hwe does sometime sell something he just picked up with no intention of collecting

Pete ,who started the collection was a great hustler, or winner

when Denny was a little boy, Pete owned the pool hall. Pete would take Denny
to the pool room and instruct him in the way

Over the years Pete would point out a certain would be wise guy, the most
s digusting tyle, the true killer of action, the kind of guy who would whisper in the ear
of anyone attempting to gamble. He seemed to think it was cool to warn people about the strenth of a potential player-- Pete would point at this guy and tell Denny, ""

One day Pete returned to the rom after one of his many road trips. Usually with tens of thousands of dollars profit, Upon coming home a stranger asked Pete to play some pool, after a few hours Pete had lost a considerable amount and quit

Head in hands Pete says," who is that guy anyway"

Little Denny says "that is so and so the great hustler who has been beating everyone for thousands
Pete says "why didn't you tell me?

Denny replied innocently and proudly" oh no dad,
you taught me not to be a knocker"

Denny has made friends with Ronnie ,Allen, Efren Reyes,Fats, Jackie Gleason, Paul Newman ,Willie Mosconi, almost every cue that any champion or hustler ever had. He has thousands of autographed pictures, cues. U J Puckets hat ,trophies you name it

Among other things Denny has been a friend to many down and ought players .No wonder he is loved by all

I hope you enjoyed the KNOCKER story

I cannot even begin to remember all of the great stories he shared with me.
