I'll be there with bells on, but just as a railbird I'm afraid. Is there a reasonable motel with ground level room access near the pool room ? I'll be around for about a week...Tom

Hey Tom- I just got your email- so the details of the tourney and motel are there. Thanks.

Raleigh event???

I was told that you have an event scheduled in Raleigh at Play2 Win on June 23-24. Just checking to confirm this so I can plan ahead. Also I see the Greenville date has a players meeting at 12:00. Are all future events going to start at 12:00 as well?

Hi! We do have an event scheduled at Play to Win In Raleigh, NC. I just recently mailed out a schedule of events- from June til the end of Sept. We have changed the start times to noon (players meeting/sign-ups) and play will begin @ 1pm. We did this b/c most of the events are full and if we don't start at a reasonable time play lasts well into the night. Also, this allows the pool room owners to rent their tables in the evening hours. So please pass the word along that we will be starting these events on TIME- no exceptions!!! Players have our phone # and can call if they are in route or if something happens. I hope you get a chance to come out to Sporty's in Greenville. It is a great pool room. Hope to see you there.:)

Hotel info.... Days Inn & Suites
60 Roper Mountain Road (off Hwy. 385)
Greenville, SC 29607
864-297-9996
Keyword: Sporty's/pool tournament

Rate: $49- there is a block of rooms for this tourney and the hotel is located 1/2 mile from the pool room. Real close and convient.

Hope to see you all there this weekend!!!! This is always a great tourney w/ great players- so come out and join us for a fun filled weekend.:)

If anyone close to Greenville has never attended one of the Great Southern Tour events, you should definitely come out. There is always a ton of talent there. It's also nice because most everyone kows each other, so it makes for a fun social weekend as well. And Sporty's is a nice room, with volleyball, lots of TVs, a dance floor, and a mechanical bull (yes, a mechanical bull), so there is alot to do for people who don't want to watch the tournament all the time.

I'll be there. Marge and Shannon run a great tournament.

I guess this means you are going to play?
I may come out of retirement this weekend.

And Lee.......I do have a stakehorse, but I'd rather keep that a secret. I don't want a talented player to steal him away.

We have wondered why you haven't played in the tourneys in the past. SD just asked yesterday why you don't play. So I will be happy to tell him you are. Remember I grew up in GVL so I know you can play. We'll see you this weekend. :)

Thanks Marge.

I haven't played in a while, but this will be a fun opportunity to start again. There's always a strong field, and hopefully the tournament will fill up again.

See you tomorrow.

Did you get your cue from Mike, then??

Mike Templeton said:
I got my playing cue. I'm going to get a break/jump shortly.

Looking forward to seeing it. I don't know, at this point, whether I'll make it to the tournament or not. Good luck, if I don't see ya!

Good luck in the tournament, I wish I could make it. Looks likeI will have a few buddies playing so I won't be rooting for anyone in particular, I hope you all do well.

Catch you next time,
D

Hey Dan,
