and here's a corny shot i did for myspace haha.. my head and body don't move like that when i'm really shooting.. that gif file is actually 12 pictures so i had to get up and hit the remote control after each little movement. that's the house table (as in the nicest one). i've been coming here since i was 10 so i pretty much grew up in this place... it's not as bad as it looks, but it's a lot harder to improve your game playing on inferior equipment i can tell you that. but at least q-masters was always only an hour away.

Are you saying that place is still in business?....that would be a cool trip to go see where Wimpy played!

Nice pics! I have been to the room too! there was a thread months ago about the oldest pool room still operating, and I commented on the one you shared, along with my hope that you'd see the thread. Better late than never!

What is the scene like there? When I went in, I was on my way to OBX and there was nobody else in there.

thanks again for the pics!

Now THAT'S a poolroom!!! Looks like so many of the rooms when I was growing up. No jukebox, no booze, and no broads.;) Thanks very much for posting those great pictures.

I LOVE those pics! It makes me wish I were there, but not in 2006, back when Wimpy was there. Thanks for posting the photos!:)

That is how a pool room should be, not like today when everything is supposed to be family oriented and family friendly.
Hell one of the reasons I play pool is to get away a little, be with the guys.

oh yeah its still around and not closing anytime soon... the house table used to be the gold crown 1 out of wimpy's house after he died in 88 but his sister or somebody came and took it out around 5 years ago. he used to live on greenleaf street about a mile down the road behind the middleschool and used to ride around town on an old bicycle with those big curvy handlebars. i heard he used to ride it into the sonic drive thru and give the girl on rollerskates a 50 dollar bill for his meal and tell her to keep the change. i've heard so many stories about wimpy since i was a kid in that old poolroom it's ridiculous...
