There is a VERY simple way to put an end to any and all speculation in regards to all the Man vs women issues. Completely stop women's only events and all events be truly " open ".
Some of you just like to argue non sence. I'm not buying it. Don't have the time or energy to educate you.
No one has even stated the obvious. If jayson shaw played a male that had Karens exact skill level the match would have not been so close. It's added pressure and it's tough to bring your A game. That's a pure and simple fact. Karen has zero to loose the least amount of pressure on her in the whole event. Practically a free roll. Now the males that have to play her not so much.
Not sure if your post was directed toward mine but wouldn't it make sense to just have one field for both all men, women, and transgendered to compete against each other? It would definitively put an end to Fargo ratings comparisons, the question as to whether the women can truly compete against the men, whether transgendered people should be allowed to compete in women's tourneys, sexism from the powers that be forcing women to play in their own event and everything else associated with this often rehashed discussion?
Karen Corr has played in so many high pressure situations, at the highest levels, for years now. Your argument is misogynistic.
She has beaten men in tournaments countless times before, and won several times on the Joss Tour.
She's a pro. She belongs there.
Perhaps some of the men feel added pressure, fearing losing "to a woman." That simply means that player isn't strong enough mentally.
No I was not referencing you. I agree mostly with what you just said. The fact is women can complete with men Karen is very good. The fact remains it's a disadvantage for a man to play a woman. Is it our fault? Yes it is but that's just how it is. Jayson would have never lived that down if he lost. I'm not sexiest in anyway shape or form
Lmfao. You right no man is. That's the point moron!

I agree same around here in regards if a guy loses to a chick. Personally, I often lose to girls I play in tournaments. This is because if they are cute and ( straight ) shooters I find myself paying more attention them than the game at hand lol.
As far as my recommendation, I believe there is an answer to that and just want to see the first to post it.
When Karen is on, she can beat absolutely anyone.
And i'm not talking about her opponent having an "off" day type of crap. I am talking about both players going for the jugular and shooting lights out.
She has proven that more then enough times in her career.
She at the very least deserves some respect.
Such a shame how that never happens.
Because we all know that if it was a MAN in her position who beat champions, who at any given time, could demolish anyone, but hadn't won a major yet (in the mans world of pool) you all would be talking about it being just a matter of time, putting themselves in those tourneys and positioning themselves to win, and would instantly form a fan club of groupies waiting for it to happen.
But since she is a female, no one takes her seriously.
There is something wrong with that.

So you're discrediting their victories over you because they are cute? That's pathetic dude, they beat you because they played better than you. Just deal with it and try to improve.
So why does she lose then, if "no man is" strong enough? Educate me, since I'm a moron after all
Skill for skill Karen is way behind Ko and a lot of other men for that matter. I imagine she was able to figure out the break in this tourny or something.
You sound like another blowhard from NY that was recently banned. He also didn't know what he was talking about.
Not sure what a blow hard is and I don't really care. I see your from Oregon that explains it.....
After Shaw told Geoff Conway that he would "drill her" in their match because "she can't break", Karen got to the hill first in spite of that flaw in her game. I'd love to see the match myself. All reports are that she is playing at a very high level right now, maybe the best in her entire career.
Shaw had this to say to Daz on FB:
"Was under pressure big time stayed calm and positive and at the end took my chances and come with some great shots she played unbelievable she play just as good as any body in that room pal"
Just as good as any male at the tourney, in the words of the top male player who barely got past her. One thing I'm pretty sure of - she ain't scared of any of them.
Lol, talk about a low iq.
Now run along and let the adults talk about pool.
