Naoyuki is one funny dude.
Here's a video from the 2012 world team championships. The match went down to a sudden death shootout and you'd expect a lot of tension, but Oi was being all crazy and the Filipinos got into it too. One of the funniest things I've seen in pro pool.

Maybe someone threw a Predator shaft on his cue when he wasn't looking? I've seen many a player whiff a ball when trying out a Predator shaft for the first time using outside English on a thin cut, their eyes get really big and they look at you going "whoa" before adjusting and making the ball after a few tries.

This video is hilarious! I wish Efren had made both of his shots. I was kind of looking forward to his touchdown celebration. LOL.
I believe they were spotting the object ball between the spot and the foot rail, so it was a lot thinner than a regular spot shot. Still shouldn't miss like that though, but I guess he was just distracted by all the craziness.
