The Joss experience.

Well I did it, bought myself a brand new Joss.
Why a Joss you ask? That's a good question.
I've only owned some inexpensive cues up to now, but I've played with a few different high end ones, but never a Joss and I wanted to see how they felt to me. So being as Joss is less than an hour away from me i figured I'd take a road trip and get the full Joss experience. And now I'd like to share my experience with yall.

Before starting on my road trip I figured it would be best to put in a phone call and make sure they were available. I was greeted by a woman on the phone who could not have been nicer, and welcomed me to " come on down" so I hopped in the old mini van and did just that. On arrival she greeted me at the front counter then went to the back and got Stephen to come up and help me pick out a cue. After speaking with him for just a few minutes and telling him (roughly) what i wanted he went to the back and brought one up for me to see. Pretty sure he could tell by the looks in my eye that this was my cue. He then screwed on the shaft and directed me to a small table to my left so I could try it out. Once I had the cue in my hand and felt the weight my expression must have changed a bit or some other tell gave away that I did not like the weight of it... Stephen just smiled and reached out for me to hand the cue back to him then proceeded to the back to adjust the weights. I could hear him in the back doing his thing for just a couple of minutes, then he came back out with the same smile and said try it now.. I only had the cue in my hand for a few seconds and it was a bingo moment. It felt just perfect to me, nicely balanced and "wow".. So i proceeded to the table to give it a try and Stephen said "there's a wall behind you" and welp, yep, I butted the wall ! 😆
So I moved off to the side of the table to give it a few strokes... All I can say is I really like the way this cue feels, it just fits me.
I went ahead and looked at some of his other cues thinking maybe there was something else that would interest me even more, and not just the first one he showed me... He has many a nice cue, but he knew exactly what I wanted...
So I said out loud, I don't know why I'm still looking, this is the one.. and we closed the deal with some chalk and cleaning towel thrown in ending with a short chat on cue care.
I've only shot about 40 or so games with it so far but every time I pick it up it just feels right. I'm probably the wrong person to ask about what kind of hit it has but to me it feels very smooth, solid, but not "hard" and I feel it has really helped me with getting position on my next ball. I still bobble that dam 8 ball in the corner more times than I care to admit though

So to wrap it up,
Im very happy with my purchase, and the service i received..

and for those who just scroll past everything and go straight for the pictures...
