The Monk gives away best seller

I am giving away my book Point the Way as an e book. Point the Way has helped over 200,000 players and is celebrating it's 20th year. This book is over two hundred pages long and will help you become a better player. Email me monkbilliardacademy@yahoo.com and I will send you a free copy.

This is my way of thanking the pool world for such a wonderful journey. I am going to retire at the end of 2012 and want to give away 100,000 copies of this E Book. I need you to help me do that.

The Monk

Thanks sir,

For the offer.

I read a portion of one of your books, where you were logging in the UP of MI. I grew up in the UP and yes admit I'm a Yooper!

Do you remember the pasties?

After perusing this thread, I went to my collection of pool books and got my copy of "Point the Way". I'd not read it in a very long time and was curious.

I began to read the parts I had highlighted in yellow, a dozen years ago. It struck me how the stuff is still relevant, in fact even more so, even though these days I am no longer a novice player.

I am now going to read the entire book all over again.

Tim has a distinctive, heartfelt, style of teaching and an ability to connect with the reader. "Point the Way" and "I Came To Win" are, IMHO,two of his best.

hmmm

Yep, good stuff. Met the Monk in Chicago (Pheasant Run Resort) I was playing in the Windy City Open. Won my first set (8ball) and was getting ready to beging my second match.

A younger guy (mid 20's) and he was in from Arizona I think I recall. I asked him you came all the way from AZ to play in tourney. He responded yep.

I'm thinking he must have some game to fly into Chicago for this tourney. I mean, not a very big payout that I recall.

Then half way into the first game I see this guy that looks like the Monk and he's sitting at the table watching MY match. I ask him if he was the Monk. He says yep. I said, so what are you doing here.

He says he was here to keep on eye on his protege. Of course, he is staring right at the kid I'm playing. Crap, I'm here playing a guy and I have a drunk friend in my corner, and my opponent has the MFing Monk in his. wtf??

So, after I get beat 5-3, I go home because I only live a mile from the resort and get my "I came to win" book by the Monk. Bring it back, and say since your boy beat me the least you could do is sign my book. He laughed and said no problem and signed it.

Now that is one cold shark move when you are playing in a tourney !!!
