Isn't The Monk supposed to be at Q-Spot in Tulsa, soon? Lessons, tournament, something? I remember seeing something about it. Just don't remember when or what. I've been sick, since then.

Hey ftgokie!!! I told ya the Q-Spot was a great place for the family! It's where we hang out most. If we take a notion, we can take the grandkids with us, too.

We're also gonna try to do this Saturday at Q-Spot and also be in the tournament at Rusty's. That is, if the Swine Flu isn't being too much of a threat in northern TX, by then. I really don't like being sick. Just got over something that had me really messed up for a couple of weeks. It feels nice to be part of the human race, again!

It'll be nice to meet ftgokie AND The Monk, this weekend! See ya there, Mr. Ken Ken!

Finally got my pics from the other night uploaded to the computer and cropped. (Mr. Ken Ken.... I fixed the one where it can be read easier, too.)

Here is the info on The Monk's visit to Q-Spot, in Tulsa.......

There are two MONKS-ONE An aging Natl Speed player from out West (Albuquerque/Reno?) named Warren Costanzo. He won a Camel event or its equivalent

and the other a teacher of pool named Tim something. Hey isnt the OYster's name Tim also? Someone posted some written material of the teaching Monk here about a year ago- I did a search and couldnt find it but im not too patient. The material was very basic and just plain wrong more than once. I would have a hard time recommending him for anyone but a rank beginner.

Even at that, there are more than enough beginners who need help and lots of folks who could use refreshers. Everyone there today seemed to be having a pretty good time. I'm sure some learned a thing or two. I think that's what matters, most.

Jes....I guess we just missed you guys.....I talked to MR Ken Ken for a bit and Cheetah......We took my 16yr old Nephew to Twin Peaks to eat and then let him go on a 200.00 spending spree at Bass Pro....He had a great 16th birthday. Sorry we missed you guys.....maybe we can catch you guys in Tx Memorial Day weekend....

Not sure, but I think we were still there when you got there. We just didn't know we were crossing paths. Hope to see you in Ft. Worth!

If you come back to the Q-Spot on Friday or Saturday nights...

If the tournament isn't going on at that table, we are usually at the middle table on the right side, when you come in the door. Our cue cases have the crowns on them. Of course, Cheetah and Mr. Ken Ken know us, so you can always ask them if we're there. Most of the regulars know who we are, too.
