The Power of the Atom.......

This is AzBilliards... I do not have the time or enough crayons to explain it where you guys will understand.. Rule #1.. to offend me I would have to respect your opinion... And I don't... Was here for a long time... Just passed thru =D

To offend you, I would need to understand you. I have the crayon’s if you have the time. Seriously, from your OP I can’t quite understand your point. Could you elaborate?

To explain his original post:

Chris Renfro is the owner of Outsville. They make chalk. Taom and other similar chalks have taken over the market because they are clean.

Chris believes these chalks all contain nano particles and are made in China. He also believes these are bad for you. He has been saying this for some time on Facebook.

He has now come out with his own “clean” chalk, without nano particles, which he is calling Atomic chalk.

To be clear I’ve never seen his new chalk and don’t know how it works. Nor do I know whether his claims have any truth to them. I’m just explaining his post.

overall it sounds like he's fairly impartial in the matter

Thanks for explaining. It is a commercially available product, as you describe. I'll stick with Taom for now.

I asked an AI engine about pool chalk and nano particles. A surprisingly long, detailed response was obtained, but this sums it up:

Summary Verdict
If you are playing in a well-ventilated space and using a premium nano-chalk that produces minimal airborne dust, the health risk is exceptionally low. The primary safety rule is to avoid blowing aggressively on your cue tip after chalking, which forces dust into the air, and to keep all billiard products out of the reach of young children.

congrats on copy and pasting from ChatGPT, that’s almost as useless as the OP and less fun to read.
agree 100%. This AI bs should be banned on here. As for the chalk? IMO this nano-shit a TOTAL non-issue. Over 45+yrs of pool i've inhaled: enough smoke to blot out the sun, about a metric ton of killer blow and enough Master dust to turn me blue and i'm still kickin. Since i've used Taom i haven't noticed any dust. If its there its orders of magnitude less than traditional chalk. I'd love to see some actual FACT based medical analysis of what, IF anyththing, the current line-up of modern chalks do to us.
