The Road I Live on is Paved With Good Intentions

OK, Here I go.

I'm going to say this once and only once, you have my word.

I think people have grown tired of me pushing my book, Right On Cue on this forum. I've grown a little tired of pushing it myself.

Here are some of the reasons I've been so persistent in the past.

I think my story has movie potential. I know what movies have done for the game in the past, especially the good ones, The Hustler and The Color of Money. If this ever happens, the entire business would benefit.

I also have a tournament in my story, I didn't want to expose this but I think I should. The first prize in half a million dollars. Yes,that's right, $500,000. I think I could pull it off, if given the chance. I would insist it happens if my story ever becomes a movie.

I've been a gambler all my life. I made the biggest bet, of my life, on a story I wrote. My total investment in the book was $17,000. That's just my cost for publication. It doesn't include the hours upon hours writing the story.

Believe it or not, I'd do it again. The game doesn't owe me anything. I've had some of the finest moments, of my life, playing it.

I just thought, I'd let some of you, that don't know me personally, in on my ambitions.

We are far to skilled professionally and as armatures, to keep working as hard as we do, for the rewards we take home.

I just thought I'd share this with you. What do you think?

tom, my initial reaction after i first read your book was that it would make a great movie. the plot was well thought out and flowed very well. i don't know how you stand in all of this dollar wise, but i appreciate the fact you believed in yourself enough to finance it yourself. i hope your efforts are rewarded and somehow this goes on and becomes a movie, it deserves it. and it may very well be a shot in the arm for pool.

Mojoe and Guycrunch, Thanks for letting me know what you thought. I appreciate it.

I managed to sell another book today. THANKS.

Do you carry copies of the book with you? If so, when we meet in the next couple of months, I would love to buy a signed copy.

easy-e, I have them and will be glad to sign one for you. I'm looking forward to meeting you. Thanks for letting me know your intentions.
