"The Secret Art of POOL "

I have his DVD. The main thing is his V grip. Problem for me is that he doesn't really show a good close up of it. Have watched it several times and still can't get my hand to form a V. Mine is more of a U.

I also have Lee's dvd. There is a lot of information on it that has not been presented on other dvd's. If this guy doesn't get you fired up to play no one will! High energy at it's best!

JoeyA,
Ask him did he win a 64 player handicapped 9 ball tournament last night! And how many tournaments he has played in much less placed in!!!! not that tournament playing is everything in pool playing, but it gives you a signature that means something in the pool world. Just my 2 cents.
Many Regards,
Lock n Load.

Don't worry about that fellow Lock. By now he is on his second bottle of Yukon Jack for the day and has sunken so deep in that soft sofa of his, he couldn't get up out of that easy chair to take a leak. :D

Book,
I think our hands do make an upside down u instead of a V, but mine starts out as a V. I think it is more important to know what the V looks like after the completed stroke. Having a little space and a loosened grip is the key to the V in my opinion, but I still don't have it locked to memory just yet.

I agree Javi2. Lee presents things that I have never seen before and he does it like you would expect a coach to do it.

I'm telling you, if I had a pool team, I would hire him to coach my team.

Book vs DVD

Joey, What is the difference between the book and dvd?
If I had to get one which would you recommend?
Should, I get both?
Thanks, Barney

Barney,
The book contains a lot of the information that is on the DVD, however the DVD has additional information that is not in the book.

I think the book is good for reference and you can take it to the pool hall. The DVD is great for watching at home and I like Lee's way of expressing himself and like someone else mentioned, you have to like his enthusiasm. A coach is supposed to be enthusiastic, right?

website still shows as pre-order. How soon will these be readily available? going between getting this and/or CTE/Pro1

You may need to refresh the page, If you have been there before it may load from your Cache rather than the web. Just go to the page and hit refresh, that should give you the lastest page.

Big kudos go to Coach Lee for putting together a comprehensive DVD that covers most of what you need to improve your pool game.

Thanks, Joey for the review. There's a ton of good info you'll never get from the typical video. Worth every penny!

Best,
Mike

I'm glad you've seen the video and valued it as I did.

I'm sure more people will be coming forward to provide additional testimony as to the value of this video.

It's nice to know that others won't have to hit a million balls to learn the "SECRETS" of playing pool. :woot:

I highly recommend the DVD. I usually have a hard time sitting through a video like this without falling asleep. But I have watched it twice now and both times in one sitting. It is very informative and Lee's style keeps you interested. Good stuff!

I have gone back to the table each day now, trying Coach Lee's straight in shot technique and it is highly effective. I will be using this technique when playing one pocket and feel assured that it will help my game.

Since Lee is just now offering the DVD, I don't think any discussion of the what, how and why his straight in shot technique works is appropriate so I will leave it alone for the time being. With Lee's coaching style of repeating the information, I finally am getting a lot of what he originally told me in a short period of time when we met in Las Vegas, last year.
I have some additional ideas about the what, how and why to share but probably won't do that until perhaps a year has passed.

Hopefully by then, Coach Lee will have had an opportunity to get a foot hold in America and will be rewarded for his efforts in this video before his information is copied, shared, exploited and nit-picked by those who think it is their job to do so.

Don't get me wrong, discussion about this video and others is GREAT, not good and someconstructive criticism can improve future generations of instructional videos for all concerned, but mean-spirited comments, designed to showcase one's arrogance and insolence has no place in this forum or any other for that matter.

Ordered this DVD and Stans CTE/Pro1

i just recently started shooting league a few months ago. also have a table at home. i have never had any type of coaching or done any real research on the physics and mechanics of the game until recently. i have always just played by feel and logic. and while its served me pretty well, i do think its time i get some professional coaching under my belt. I will be happy to give a review of Lee's DVD for people in similar shoes.

im just worried about unlearning some of my bad habits that until recently i was unaware of
