If you are not rated yet, there are a bunch of different places you can stop in to get rated before the tournament. Kolby's, The Sets (Tonight or Saturday before the Tourney), Main Street in Mesa, Kitty's, Metro Sports, Alexander's, Pappys, and probably some others I'm missing. You can probably post on AZB and get some other Ratings Members to rate you as well.

I had 7 players come in last night to get rated. I put them in a tourney and they are all set for Saturday. Most of them were 6's and two 7's.

Hope you even goes well but I see no end in sight for Allergy Season till it hits 100 degrees. Tried playing last night, and did piss poor.

Well, you have 98 hours from now until the start of the tourney. I think that should be enough practice time to figure out how to play without using your head or breathing. I'll bring some extra eye drops, benedryl, and kleenex for you.

I'll see you there!

When my allergies flair up this bad they causes dizziness, so I also try not to drive. When up for an hour this a.m. trying to practice, and it was a total waist of time.

Dam people from all over the U.S. who moved to AZ and brought there plants, and trees that should have been left in place like Wisconsin, and Minnesota that have HAD FREEZE Winters.

The Desert of Arizona is no longer the place for Allergy suffers.

I have lived here for 37 years and can't remember when it ever was:confused:

Hey guys, great news, I was able to pick up all new Cue Balls today to be used at the tourney.

The other day we tried to play with those Heavy ones and it was not a good thing.

If you go in to "The Sets" at all and find the small red dot balls on the tables, just ask the bartender for the good ones. They keep the heavy ones out there for the Banger Players.

Also, the bar has FREE WI-FI for those of you that have to have your AZBilliards in between matches. I'll post an update of the tourney as well.

Many years ago people with respiratory problems, and allergies moved to desert places, as there was a lack of pollen from thing that drive those of us with allergies nuts. When the desert was the desert, with out crops, and other things that have been imported for landscaping.

This year is vary bad as we had lots of wet stuff in the winter, not hard freeze, and no transition to from winter to spring.

Have your Allergies cleared up yet?

I know how many people that never had allergies move to the valley and then they develop them. In my wife's case, she has bad allergies in Wisconsin where she grew up, but now she doesn't have any here.

Good news about the 0.75 cent tables. The owners have agreed to charge a $10 or $15 greens fee (depending on field size) and then all the tables will be open for the tourney. This will be cheaper for the players, especially with the full races.

I'm hoping we get between 50 and 64 players. We'll cut it off at 64 so we can get it done in 1 day if possible.

See you guys in 3 days.

Signup starts around 11 am. Play starts as close to noon as possible.

Any questions, email SetsPool@hotmail.com or call 602.332.4499.

Only 2 days away! Hope to see you all there. The Heineken Girls are coming around 7 p.m. to ease everyone's eye strain a little bit. They'll be passing out some t-shirts and have some shots specials to calm everyone's nerves a little bit.

We will be raffling off some items for the 2 & Out and 3 & Out persons. This will give the lower rated players some extra incentive in playing.

If you are not rated yet, please arrive early and I'll have a few people on hand that can evaluate you.

Tourney is going off like crazy. This is the first chance I had to write something. We had 31 players, most of which got in all the side pots. The winner will take home $1065, 2nd to get $415.

We have 16 people left..... Most of the big bangers are still in it.
