Well, it's easier to hold up the cue ball this way, but it's harder to make the shot. Anyway, how easy it is isn't the question.

Oh, I see what you're saying. The hit is more full from the cue ball's perspective. That's the important perspective for purposes of holding up the cue ball after contact, but it's not the usual way of describing the hit needed to make the shot. The hit needed to make the shot is usually described from the shooter's perspective, and from the shooter's perspective the hit is thinner to compensate for the throw created by the inside english.
