The story behind Lying Ryan Mccreesh

Say there, I need $300, not a penny more. My dog is sick

How am I doing going so far?

J/K 😂😂

I loaned a well know player (not cliff-I like him and he’s always been 100% with me) a few $’s once, I got 30% of it back.

What I lost was a cheap way to buy him out of my life.

What I don’t do is name names online. I don’t put biz in the street, like I mentioned earlier today I’ve been robbed by big name cue makers by more than any players ever. I still don’t name names.

Like gambling debts, they are private and breaking that code(going public) is weak as it gets in my world. Harming the future reputation of someone over a bet. Sure not paying is wrong too, but online never goes away. Paying off solves the problem. That’s why you’ll never see me on social shit-it’s just that. Shit. A message board is the most exposure I deal with.

Fatboy<——-doesn’t need $300 and doesn’t have a dog.
Well after over a year do you really think he has any intention of paying off his debt? I’m putting it out there so the pool world can see what a piece of crap he really is. Maybe if others would do the same there would be less of us honest people taken advantage of my those type of people including cue makers that have done people wrong. Breaking the code might do some good and get rid of those low life’s

Unfortunately I don’t think you will get paid.

A loan is different than a gambling debt

I’m sorry you did a favor and got f*cked, that’s not cool. You did a solid and got the worst of it.

It’s your decision to name names, that’s 100% your right and you chose to exercise it. If you protected someone else, then you did the right thing. I know your intent wasn’t bad.

I just personally don’t do that. Maybe I should. I’m not knocking you. Just saying that’s not how I roll. And who am I to judge? Nobody. My opinion means nothing, not my biz. In a parallel situation I’d have handled it different that’s all I was saying.

I hope you can recover what’s yours. It’s sad it had to go down like this.

I wish you the best, not all people are thief’s.

A guy in the pool room told me when I was 19 or 20, “Trust people until they give you a reason not to”. I was highly skeptical of that advice. He added “don’t be a sucker either”. He continued “if you do trust people until they give you a reason not to, and your not a sucker you’ll end up ahead in the long run-but along the way you will take some losses”.

So I tested what he said over time. And to my surprise he was right. That was in 1986, I’ve trusted many people and a small % got me too. But his advice was solid and I have done well, I’m glad he told me that. He was a street smart old school guy. “Don’t be a sucker” meant use good judgment, but inherently people are honest. Pool, poker players-proceed with caution.

Take care and good luck

I used to loan people I knew that were moochers or I just didn't care to have around twenty dollars or so. At my businesses I would give customers that were more headache than they were worth credit for similar amounts, great way to get rid of all of them!

I was half-partners in a gas station. Had a customer come in and fill up his work vehicle once a week like clockwork for six months or so. Often stood around talking a bit, seemed like a good guy. One day he came in, "I am a little short this week. Could I get three dollars worth on credit and pay you next week?" That was about ten gallons of gas at the time. "Sure, no problem!"

There was another gas station straight across the highway from mine. From then on I watched him pull in there and fill up every week!

I often found it entertaining to out dirtbags on the street, at the pool hall, wherever. After The Color of Money everybody that could run three balls thought he was a hustler and needed to use a fake name. When a hustler came in where I was at I often told them when in a group that wasn't the name they were using two weeks ago! Great embarrassment, they didn't remember.

The "code" is supposed to protect the dirtbags, according to the dirtbags! I often violated their imaginary code to watch them squirm! According to more of the unwritten code, you weren't supposed to out road players. Fine that they passed around information and had a book describing everything a road player needed to know about locals that would gamble. Giving the same information out about the road player violated the code!

Cheap con men and petty crooks, lowlifes of all descriptions, diming them out could be good entertainment when I was in the mood. Wish I had a dollar for every time I was told by some whiny worm that I was violating the code! They are violating the code of human decency and often the law but they are supposed to be protected. Sorry, too much fun to out dirtbags. Them sniveling about it just makes ratting them out more entertaining.

Glad to know someone's word is worthless. These are the kind of people you don't want to do business with long distance or invest in at a poolroom. I still want to hear the other side of the story but until then I'll bear in mind this warning.

Thanks Rooster!

I have all the messages ( excuses) pertaining to this loan if you are interested in reading them

I must be a slow learner or just old school because a hand shake or a man’s word at one time was all you needed. There were so many lies I couldn’t actually post them all. I was trying to give him the benefit but obviously his words mean nothing.
The only thing I can think of is, would you have agreed to paying it back in 6 months? Unless I read it wrong, getting it in May and paying it back in June where unemployment is your source of income isn't ever going to work out.

I would of agree to 6 months to paying it back. He was suppose to getting unemployment ( his excuse ) back pay plus starting a second job . If he would of paid back $70 a month it would of been paid off.

Let's be honest here, as pool players we call lots of people friend, when it would better be called acquaintance. A "friend" wouldn't even have to ask about paying back it would be, pay me when you are able. That's why people only have a handful of real friends.

You are spot on! Some people think they have dozens of friends. In truth if you have a half-dozen you are luckier than most. I have a friend in California, plays poker. We have never met but have been passing up to four figures back and forth for years. If one of us is short they don't have to ask, it is offered.

I had a gringo friend here in Costa Rica who was out of work for awhile. His rent was due and I knew he didn't even have money for food. I offered to cover his rent ($800) and gave him $300 for food to tide him over. I told him pay me when you are able. He moved back to the US nearly a year ago. He never was "able" and we are still friends. I never mention it because I never expected to get it back.

I'm very cool with No borrowing. No lending. Nothing good comes out of it.

There's good reasons why he's been banned from so many tournaments and has nothing but a poor reputation in the pool community. I hated having to play him the few times that I did, because all he does is complain loudly the moment he's down in a set. He's a great player with such a poor attitude.
