The torments of Ronnie O’Sullivan, snooker’s greatest player.

Well, it is the New Yorker...to them, nothing happens west of the Hudson River, but things happening across the pond are cool.

Still, a well written piece...

Really? A simple link to a great article on Ronnie and you had to bring the aiming debate into it?

I am going to say this one last time with you. LET IT GO!!! (or we can let you go)

Mike

Are you unable to understand how what ronnie says relates to this board's approach to aiming?

O’Sullivan spends a lot of time thinking about the white ball. He has come to believe that the quality of the initial contact between his chalked, pressed-leather cue tip and the phenolic-resin sphere—the momentary grip, the transfer of energy and intent—is what decides everything else. If the white responds, he will not lose. “You’re using force,” he said, after making his tea. “You’re using your hands. You’re creating. You’re making that white dance.”

And is aiming sacrosanct? Is free speech on products or approaches banned? Good luck with that.

Dude, you've got this BADLY wrong. You're slowly getting the forum you deserve - you've seen recent viewing figures, right? You know where you'll be in 2 years time, right?

There are 101 things wrong this forum, criticising aiming systems ain't one of em. Why you let a handful of fanatics tell you what to do is anyone's guess, and is quite shameful.

Wow
I mean a top mag like New Yorker profile a legend of a relatively unknown game snooker in US
By contrast , I doubt the mag has featured any legend from more popular game of pool
The difference as Ronnie would say is night and day
:D

New Yorkers play snooker, at the New York Athletic Club, and compete in the International Snooker League.

It is perfectly fitting that snooker is covered in their magazine.
