The Ultimate Aiming fix?

Within the next 20 years someone will build a pool-playing championship robot. The algorithms are pretty easy compared to other projects they've already done.

With one 4-rail practice shot it will know the speed of the table and the cushions. It will calculate the optimum pattern to pocket the balls in 14.1

And it won't bring along a girlfriend who complains "why do we spend all our time in this dingy place?"

Ha! Classic!

I would be very skeptical going over to someone's house and he is playing with special dark glasses. He could be seeing all the infrared laser lines of sight on the table, while you are looking at a normal light.

With inventions like Google glass, in the future, this is not out of the real of possibility. Simply put your cue on the table and the lines of the bank shot appear right in front of you.

Of course, the robot match would be excellent PR for pool. Like when chess champion Gary Kasparov played against the IBM super computer Deep Blue, and they fought to a draw.

We could see a forty five year old Shane go up against the pool shooting robot.

give this robot a huge bankroll

I hope they give this robot a huge bankroll. ;)
