There will be raffles and contests for you to participate in and loads of prizes.
As some of you know, The Derby City Classic begins the same weekend that our event runs. The ONLY thing that will coincide will be their Bank Tournament. We have elected to schedule our BANK tournament on Wednesday the 4th, so that you can participate in it BEFORE the Derby City Classic begins.
The Black Widow, Jeanette Lee will be participating in this event. This is an excellent opportunity for you to play against one of the most talented women players ever in billiard history.
Jeanette was diagnosed with Scoliosis at age 13 and now serves as the National Spokesperson for the Scoliosis Association, Inc. She is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Women's Sports Foundation. After playing pool for three and a half years, Jeanette turned pro in January 1993, and in less than two years became the No. 1 ranked player in the world by the WPBA. In 1994, she was named WPBA Player of the Year by both Billiards Digest and Pool & Billiard Magazine. Then in 2000 she authored The Black Widow's Guide to Killer Pool, which is a best seller within the pool industry. She has founded The Jeanette Lee Foundation, a charitable organization whose purpose is to demonstrate that any goal can be achieved, despite one's disability. Her success, poise and exotic beauty have earned her groundbreaking endorsement deals including her current sponsor, Mosconi Billiards.
