The wing is completely gone

A couple of weeks ago I underwent a wing amputation courtesy of Kelly FIsher and rebuilt my stance / form / stroke from the ground up to improve consistency.

The first week was probably the most humiliating week of my pool playing life. I stuck with it though and am very thankful I did. I kept getting more and more consistent in both speed control and accuracy. The second week I was back to winning my matches again as an 8 so I was happy I was seeing results so quickly

This past Saturday my team was in the cities in charlotte for APA and the other team threw up Norris Brady.. hes a 9 and i'm a 8. After the first rack i was up 8-2. I break and come up dry. He then runs 36 points in a row. so I'm down 38-8. Then he breaks and comes up dry and I run 30 to even it up. comes down to me being ahead of him in points until I tried a breakout off the rail and the ball hung up. He runs that rack out. Then hes breaking needing 9 points and I need 7 points for the match. He breaks and runs that game too and wins.

The point is I played some of the best pool I think I've ever played with less effort than it ever took to focus on keeping my wing straight so it was definitely worth getting straightened out :)

that is great but a small warning

Great that the "wing" is gone, but a small warning: It can sneak back in on you unexpectedly! Bad habits that I buried years ago manage to come back when I least expect them to. I actually made a lot of balls with the bad habits but the habit and the correction were both ingrained. One without the other, well you just experienced a week of that. UGLY!

Good luck and keep us updated now and then on your "new" game.
